I don't think he claimed anything like that. He was probably arguing that in a situation where sony discounts the ps4, it's not so unlikely the ps4 might take the month, while observing that Bofferbrauer has a short memory. At least that's how I interpreted his post.
Indeed I'm starting to believe that with a price cut and some heavy marketing, the PS4 might win both december and the fiscal year...which is amazing considering it's almost at the end of its life cycle. Whether they want to cut the price is another story though...I honestly don't think they will, except maybe for the days around black friday.

It's Megiddo that has short memory, as the PS4 had many deals in december (PS4 slim -50$, Pro even -100$; keep in mind it's normal price back then was still 449$), and yet got trounced by the Switch both in the US and Worldwide even though their big holiday title was a C-list (by Nintendo sales standards) RPG.

The PS4 slim was on discount for a week (17 - 24) for $249 during December. A permanent $199 price point is a whole different animal. Especially for a 5YO console.

PS4 sales in Europe are just wow 
they're truly what makes the difference.
I mean to be honest the whole conversation you all are having started because JSG87 replied to someone and said "Your on drugs if you think ps4 is gonna win December 😂😂" even though that person never said ANYTHING about the PS4 taking Dec or any other month. They just said good to see the PS4 on top and there is no stopping it now and it will sell well over 100 million consoles.
Then of course from there...you all know the rest of your conversation lol.
