To me Final Fantaxy X(FF10) is best..

Least favorite definitely Final Fantasy XII(FF12). In fact, it's the worst role playing game I've ever encountered..

That would be incorrect as FFXII has stronger role-playing elements than most of the other final fantasy games.

Care to elaborate on why? I just finished getting the platinum trophy and I straight up do not understand the hate for it. The only criticism I've heard that has any value is that 'it plays itself', which though technically true does require you to program your characters that way with the gambit system.

The game playing itself is just an elimination of redundancy rather than mashing X to constantly attack and occasionally tossing a potion or reviving characters.

With all due respect, It’s a pretty basic concept, really. Everyone is different, so everyone has different tastes and expectations. Those won’t always align with yours, and they don’t have to either.

Wouldn’t it be boring if everyone had the same taste, same personality, same everything, as you do?

I don’t think anyone should explain why they enjoy somethig you hate, or why they hate something you praise. As if to try to convince you that the game has some value that you don’t see, which would be an exercise in futility since you can’t be convinced and will only wait for the chance to tell them they’re wrong because you spent so much time tearing the game down and have it placed in a hate-box in some part of your mind.

History tells us that it would devolve into lengthy monologues about your passionate hate for FF XIII, and honestly, do we really want that?

so what you're saying is that you can't be bothered to explain or elaborate on why you feel the way you do? got it. I'll remember to not expect intelligent discussion out of you.

Seriously, you spent four paragraphs saying "I have my reasons and I'm entitled to them" without telling me what those reasons are. You could have made a fraction of the effort to say you didn't like the battle system or didn't like the story or didn't like the music or didn't like the gambits or the characters or anything at all, but instead you wasted four paragraphs explaining why you couldn't be bothered to participate in discussion because you were afraid it'd just make me go into a rant about a wholly different game.

Good on you, I guess. You know what matters to you.

My Console Library:

PS5, Switch, XSX

PS4, PS3, PS2, PS1, WiiU, Wii, GCN, N64 SNES, XBO, 360

3DS, DS, GBA, Vita, PSP, Android

Forgot to mention, the worse FF is FFII. Who the hell thought that leveling system was a good idea?

I could have done that, but FF XII is in my top 3 favorite games in the series.

As for “being afraid”, I am not. I simply don’t want to repeat history.

The more titles you've played, the higher up the scale you'll find something like Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, some of those games have hauntingly beautiful soundtracks and that game brings them all together in one great package of rpg goodness.

XIII. Just to make sure nobody sees XII, my pick is 13. THIRTEEN.

I wouldn't say it's my favourite, but it definitely had a lot of great values, the story was pretty good (though the complex terminology does make it hard to follow) and the music was great (it had one of the richest sound in the series on release, though FFX HD remaster now beats it). The gameplay is controversial but I had a lot of fun.
