Back in September we learned that PSVR has sold over 3 million units. The same source also tell us that over 21 million VR Games has been sold for PSVR, and that's a big number.

Since it's getting acclaimed games like Firewall: Zero Hour and Astro Bot: Rescue Mission, I think it's safe to say that PSVR is still selling good. If you ask me, I would say that 5 million is an easy target for it.

But, let's suppose that PS5 releases sometime in 2020 with an upgraded version of Sony's headset. Do you think the PSVR for Playstation 4 can sell over 7 million until that happens?

I'm going to be honest with you guys, at first I thought about asking if it could reach 10 million, but since I don't think a successor will take more than 3 years to arrive, so I guess 7 million is a more reasonable bet.

What do you guys think? Will it reach 7M?

It ll probably sell for another 2 years (2020 PS5), and might do another 3m in that amount of time (esp if they get prices down).

It depends if PS5 is compatible. If it is, absolutely. If it comes with its own headset, not likely.

With the steady support and improving library it's getting, that could be doable. I'd expect 2.0 a year or two after the PS5 launches, so it could have a few years to get there.

On PS4 alone? No chance. Sales are slowing down iirc, so it's going to top out at 5 million

It could do but like Amy I'm waiting for ps5 vr. I think the generational leap will be huge.

I see your point. Some people say that it takes one or two generations for a new technology to improve.

But it's good to see PSVR on PS4 selling well, because it shows that gamers are interested in VR.
