I wonder if this will be as popular as the last sprugeonryan garbage thread? I still think about the last one. Pretty impactful. Then again, I think I only posted in it once. Three times in this one.....hmmmm.

Anyways, it's too bad you didn't set the garbage man on fire.

Which was my last one? Did I eat garbage or something?

It was the one where you talked about driving around the city flinging garbage from your car. Very entertaining.

I want to hear out the binmans side of the story.

How is this the garbage mans fault? You tried recycling something that you're not allowed to do - the TV. After you did that of course the garbage man is going to go through your crap to see if you might be trying to pass something else off too. And from the sound of it there were items in subsequent weeks there too that didn't 100% qualify for recycling. He did his job.

Tv was on the ground in plain site. Not in a can. Still gives him no rigjt to throw my garbage in the street and leave it. I pay for a service. If he doesnt pick it up, then I expect a discount for the month.

Plus, he is not a recycle plant sorter. He is a garbage man. The tv part in question was made of polypropelene, which just happens to be recyclable.

Guy was just an ass. I was an ass back.

I'm not sure what his responsibilities are as a garbage man, perhaps there are some requirements that he doesnt pick up obviously non recyclable material as recyclable. And going above and beyond your job is a virtue not a sin. And you said he found Styrofoam in your last dump, is that correct? AFAIK that's not recyclable. Have you confirmed whether it is or not? In our jurisdiction it is not, so if that's the same case in yours then you followed up a mistake with another grave mistake, which of course would give him reason to be upset and suspicious of your garbage.

With your profile pic, in some Etsy disappointed you didn't introduce him to your boomstick.

Littering by people who don't recycle.

I take it you just can't admit when you're wrong then. Your post makes no sense as a reply in an argument about whether or not Spurge throwing away his TV parts is a big deal. Now with that I think I've had my fill of your hyperbole for one day so this is my last response to ya.

I think the point was it takes only one large enough piece of garbage to ruin an animal's day and perhaps even its life. A large number of those, if not all, very likely feel pain much as we do.

Like, if you are a cop, the problem isn't missing some shots knowing you can do better the next time around, but what the stray bullets might hit that day.

I mean... that was probably what he tried to say.

That's awful. You can always go out and throw your TV on the ocean. It decomposes in a few years and fish eat it all.

God bless You.

My Step father works for a waste disposal center here in the Southern California. I don't know where you live or how it work in your area, but the City is the one that imposes the rules onto these companies. If you have a problem with them, call your City and complain; ask what type of things you are allowed to dispose of. If they are not doing a good job, then you can report them; this is how the city of Upland basically deals with my step-dads company. They are on a contract to contract basis, so if they are not doing their jobs correctly and a lot of people complain about the service, they will loose the contract, and the city will find another company that will.

Please understand that jobs like these are probably not the most desired ones, but here in California they are well paid with a living wage and good benefits. People actually want to do them here, but I don't know how it is in your area; If they are underpaid, and treated horribly, please cut your garbage man some slack, we are all humans, and I just don't understand why people would want to shit on people who are already being mistreated by their boss/company who/where they work for.

Civility to your fellow man, it does wonders.
