I feel the campaign and its length are seen in the wrong light. Maybe the story of Art (the musician) and D-Bug (the robot) and Francis and Foxy (pink Bear and Fox) is two too three hours long.
1) I tend to take longer than such estimates. And I am sure it is the same for many other people aswell.
2) What is with that text adventure? That might take 30 Minutes. There might be more parts of it, when the game comes out.
What is with that 2D-platformer where you can change from walking humanoid character to glittering ball of light? How long will that take?
What is with the top-down space shooter? How many levels will that have when the game comes out? Looked fun to me.
What is with that futuristic looking racer we saw in the trailers? What is with that space sim? Or the very different space shooter where you manouver in 3D? The guy who created that level said he wants to make a much bigger experience out of this. Whats that isometric co-op game in this world of white stone and water? And the game in ego-perspective they showed for a hot minute? Might be 10 Minutes long. Might be an hour. And the horror game with the character that looks like a little girl or something? We know that has multiple levels already. I might be able to play that hammer mini game for 2 hours straight with my friends.
If we just focus on the story of art than it might be just 2 too 3 hours long for some people.
But there will be, even when the beta just starts, so many more quality Media Molecule games to play. And videos to watch. And drawings to look at. And music to listen to. At least that is what I am convinced of.
When a story is not longer, than don't draw it out. Brevity is the soul of wit. A like a game that does not waste my time. But when this game comes out I strongly believe that I will play days and even weeks of what Media Molecule created for all of us.
