Lots of people going with 2020 here.

I'm going to agree with that. It sounds like a good date, there are still some big games coming for PS4 in 2019.

November 2020 is just right, imo.
I see it playing out like this:

PSX 2019 (25th anniversary): PS5 “announced” (name and release window, along with a single PS5 game shown)
PS meeting Feb-March 2020: specs, shape, and all announced
E3 2020: Additional games announced
November 2020: launch



Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

Too early for the announcement IMO. The announcement will cut the sales of PS4 significantly, so they should try to announce it as close to the release date as possible. They surely won't announce it before 2020 if the release date is in late 2020.

Not too soon i hope.......... only just bought my ps4 (i'm done with Microsoft, even cancelled my renewal of gold and EA access, and i'm now a PROUD PS Now subscriber)

I have a lot of catching up to do with regards to sonys exclusives, so ideally i would want the ps5 to release sometime in 2021 at the earliest.

Going back to PS Now.... its a fantastic service, 550+ games for £85 a year? it blows game pass out of the water.

Well, after a think about it for a bit, I think you may be right. But I still something related to PS5 will shown at PSX 19, because it lies right on the 25th anniversary of Playstation. Maybe just the brand new game with the Watch_Dogs type reveal.

I've been seeing a fair amount of 2019 talk around here the last dew days. Lustily voted for 2020, and was surprised to see the early returns so heavily slanted toward 2020. Maybe one or two people have been repeating 2019 and I kept seeing their posts.

Cheers man, pretty much the same.... primary xbox console user from march 2007 to september 2018........ but gears and halo aside (i will just buy a 1-3 months gold card when it's time to play those two games, then drop gold again like a bad habit) my xbox days are over.
