It could get even worse with NPD: The Smash bundle comes with a download code for Smash Ultimate. Will those even get counted? And if they do, for which month, October or December? Just imagine Smash winning October despite releasing only 2 months later...

Heh, I would guess the hardware would be counted in October and the software in December.  Don't know though.  It would be funny to see Smash chart in October.
