It just came out late in the 3DS lifetime.
Also, can people stop with the switch port begging for 3DS games. Man, I swear the 3DS still all fine as a platform to play any games that are there.

If you can do it fine with any retro consoles up until the DS, then why is it a problem now ?

I can still text on a flip phone, doesn't mean I ever want to.

The Switch has made going back to the 3DS system just unbearable for me. So it gets ignored and I hope any new game I want on the 3DS comes to the Switch. If it doesn't, I'll never end up playing it cause I am not purchasing anything new for 3DS.

It has to mainly due to size of handheld. I can play switch for hours and be fine. 3DS, my hands get cramped and go numb after certain time. Can I play retro games on other sytems? Yea, easy. N64 controller feels fine, nes, snes controller is fine. Some PS controller are find, the xbox controllers are all good. ect. Or in most retro cases, one can use a modern controller to play them.

I bought, but never played it, just to support the series. Shame it hasn't passed one mil

I would get the game if it was on the switch eshop as I stopped buying 3ds software years ago

To be fair, its hard to go all in on a series that has not really moved consoles that particularly well. Even when it released in end of the Wii's life, Zelda: Skyward Sword managed to sell better than the best selling Metroid game, Metroid Prime. Fans called Metroid the third pillar once upon a time and it was hard to argue...from a critical success standpoint. Plus, the series has done poorly in Japan, which is something Nintendo considers even if it does well in the West.

Not saying Nintendo hasn't done anything wrong, but things have not gone the way we'd hope for Metroid over the course of its 30+ year history. Metroid II: Return of Samus could've done well on Game Boy, but it did ok. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption could've done well even if it released about a couple months apart from Mario Galaxy (depending on where you live), but it didn't do as well as hoped. Super Metroid could've done well, especially when it was released months apart from DKC, but it didn't do well enough apparently.

Hopefully, Switch users will respond and pay more attention to Metroid Prime 4 once that releases.

Well what can be done to further entice Switch owners to get Metroid Prime 4? Please tell me it's not making it like Call of Duty. -_-

I wouldn't count it out, but I doubt that Nintendo would go that far, especially if they are going to be the ones handling the game led by Metroid Prime Producer Tanabe.

I think, that after WiiU ports Switch will get 3DS ports to fill the lineup (including Metroid: Samus Returns).

I know damn sure im getting MP4 though. I believe that will sell well

Then we must all make a pact to buy Metroid Prime 4, support the series so that it will survive.

Easiest pact ever.

I'm still waiting for it to be ported to the Switch.

Well good thing outside of cheap ports like Kirby's Epic Yarn and Luigi's Mansion, Nintendo has basically moved from the 3DS. Since software is just not selling on it anymore.

I can and shall continue to "port beg" for games I want on my platforms of choice.  getting annoyed or offended by "port begging" is among the stupidest shit I've seen gamers be upset about
