Activision would be really stupid to not continue with the Crash Bandicoot series in the future.

Yeah, but you need to factor in both. The fact that it's been available for more than 60 weeks means that it's likely that the majority of sales occurred long ago, and the fact that new versions were released only recently means that it has recently had a spike in its sales numbers.
Hopefully this sends a message to devs that people want more 3d platformers.

Yes, hopefully Spyro will follow the same path as Crash.
Well has the game been #1 for every one of those 60 weeks? Otherwise it sounds a lot more impressive than it really is considering it just released for the Switch.
