I have an almost daily routine of going on Rocket League and trying to see how easy it is to mentally break team mates and the opposition. I used to take the game serious and had a rank of champion albeit playing by myself against random teams so that was a decent achievement. Now i just have a laugh and my rank is just below diamond so pretty average. But half of the reason it's so low is because I wind up my team mates to the point where they have a mental breakdown and self destruct, basically joining the opposition. Doesn't bother me I just laugh. Now the best part is it could be as simple as the opposition scores on him and i type what a save three times in the chat. Most of the time that alone is enough to trigger the implosion. 

I've played about 8,000 matches on this game and in probably well over 1000 of them I've had the team or opponent have said "reported enjoy your ban" or "everybody report this guy" and so far I've not even had so much as a chat ban. Physonic either don't even check these reports or more likely they look at them and just laugh. Just another modern gamer getting triggered over nothing i bet you they say. I'm very creative with how i stir the pot and never cross the line with racism or death threats. 

So imo the modern gamer has gone soft. No longer able to take a bit of banter. If they can't handle the heat either turn off the text chat feature or better yet don't play online. It's almost like some people want to be triggered. Now while i often wind up my team mates more often then not it's the opposition. And i file this under a very good tactic called mental warfare. The opposition usually take the bait and start playing emotionally rather then logically which usually leads to mistakes and me winning games I'd have probably lost. Maybe because I've been around since the good old days of early online console gaming i just have a thicker skin but today's gamer. Leaves a lot to be desired. If i had a penny for every time i was called toxic in the chat I'd be a millionaire. It's not toxic, it's banter and it's something the gamers of today are struggling to grasp. 

I seen the picture below online recently and it made me think, Jesus these softies wouldn't have lasted a second in the chaotic war zone that was mw2 online on ps3 and 360. Those were the days! 1v1 me on rust you pleb!

if you win you play alone and if you loose your teammates leave also, i think it has something to do with the point that parents are telling their children all the time they are greatest and if they loose a videogame  something in their brain is collapsing........

1 tip from my side mute yourself so you can call them wanker or whatever you want how often you want.

The's a difference between banter and just being toxic and not everyone is looking for either when they log into an online session and it's not often a case of people going soft but more a case of people today just don't put up with it after Live highlighted how people can behave like jackasses online back then it showed you give people an inch they take a mile so now they don't even offer that inch anymore.

Many people have made this comment before. Possibly even trucks in the past. 

Haha great reply. Me and my buddies clean up on call of duty. Especially cod4 remastered. Destroy lobbies. And not verbally, just plain old killing. Beast mode activated. 

And guess what happens, as soon as we start beating them they quit. If anybody ever beats us we see it as a challenge and won't leave until we get a win. I suppose you are right, today's gamer can't handle the heat. 

There's literally a feature that allows you to either turnoff the chat or only see team chat. Then there's a mute option. So why do they leave it on if they can't handle the heat?

I'd say 1 in 2 or 3 games if I make a bad attempt to save my random team mate will sarcastically say "what a save". So this is very common. 

The other day I was playing with a guy and he missed a save so I said it sarcastically but only once. I didn't spam it. So he just stops and types play by yourself the. So he drives around in circles for the next 5 mins while I play, occasionally crying in the chat about how annoying I am. I score 5 goals and we lose 6 5.

So this dude clearly has issues. Why does he leave the chat on? Is he trying to trigger himself? 

People shouldn't have to turn off mics because they're finding one person toxic so instead they'll just report you to remove the person as a factor instead of being forced to turn their mics off.

I play a lot off football and it's actually very toxic too. These guys who can't handle it online definitely wouldn't last long with serious football teams. Whether it's players or managers giving out for making a mistake or your team mates trying to dig up any dirt possible on team mates to slag them off. It's survival of the fittest and there's no option like RL to turn off the chat.
