Yeah, me too man! I hope it isn't just a digital game. It isn't even confirmed if it'll be on PS4 or not or whatever console.

Also, there's no way it'll come out in 2018, right? I wonder how long it has been in development now? Did it just start?

Its definitely a 2019 title. I'm going to guess its PS4/XB1/STEAM/Switch. No way they dont put this on everything

Good news, i think, tho I havn't played the series. Here's a question: what makes SOR better than its peers, like Final Fight, Double Dragon, or TMNT arcade games?

It's faster than Final Fight, less janky than Double Dragon, and slower than TMNT. Which is not to say it's "better," just different.

No one here seems to care? Really? Man, it blows my mind they're actually doing it. I mean, I cannot even describe just how blown up I am right now. This has so much potential to become my favourite game in the past decade or so. I mean, if it has four player online this could be the coolest thing in existence for beat em up fans such as myself.

We discussed this when it was announced, where were you?

You say tomato, I say tomato

"¡Viva la Ñ!"

I played and owned all three back in the days. Two and three I played countless times with my friends. The thing that took SoR beyond its competitors was the music and art.

SoR music is some of the best I've come across. Although limited by 16bit tech, they made that console produce some amazing sounds.

The levels in SoR were better than most generic levels in a scrolling beat em up. More thought had gone into them and how you could interact with them. It just did everything that little bit better.

I'm excited and nervous about the new one. The at style is very kiddish and I don't think they have the music. That's two out of 3 ingredients they are missing to make this a proper SoR game. It feels this studio can only do one type of art style and in wonder boy it worked, but this ain't wonder boy.

Hey man, thanks for the link! Great thread you created there. I don't know how I missed this. Hmm must have not been around when this game was announced because I VGC is usually the first place I find out about upcoming games and I could not find a news announcement article on this game.

Oh well, great to see it was covered.

This is a game I'm REALLY hyped up for. Now all they need to do is bring back the classic Ninja Gaiden in this style and my classic thirst would be quenched.
