Yeah, that was pretty iffy humor. I had no idea the entire female cast of SP was replaced by soundalikes so early in the shows history. I'm a big fan, but consider the first few seasons to be fairly poor, so I've rarely revisited them.

Pretty douche thing of him to straight up use the guy like that,even tho he still got paid. Is a shame all of the things that came out of him, because I actually really like Fairly Odd Parents, Danny Phantom and Tuff Puppy and really admired the guy before that.

Just a nervous joke, I'm pretty sure he regretted it as soon as he realized what he actually said. There is such a thing as intent and I doubt his intent was malicious.

Never knew he said that. I actually like Butch Hartman. He made FoP, Danny Phantom, Tuff Puppy, etc. He's even worked on toons like Johnny Bravo. Sure it was a tasteless joke, but I don't think he meant any ill will. Doesn't make it any better though.

He set up a Kickstarter to form a new streaming service, but was very vague with the details. Long story short, the streaming service will be showing Christian entertainment only. He never mentioned anything about it being a Christian service until he met his funding goal, deceiving lots of people, and taking their money. One more reason he can suck it.

Its not a Christian service. He has said so publicly that its not. He clarified that he has Christian values that he hopes to model the service after. Its as "Christian" as Mr. Rogers.

To be completely honest, I made a similar joke once.

The writer David Foster Wallace killed himself. My professor was talking about him, and in passing mentioned that she'd criticized his last novel. And I said maybe the bad review pushed him over the edge.

Of course, that wasn't a personal friend of hers, so it's not exactly the same. But... some people just have a somewhat darker sense of humor. Hopefully he apologized, but it's not something that I feel is unforgivable.
