Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy

It's not a trilogy, anymore, it's at 5 films encounting.

so is starwars, a trillion films it seems.

but the first 3 movies are a trilogy with their story. the 4th and 5th films didnt even have the main cast and were self contained movies.

Does Star Wars - The Prequel Trilogy (Episode 1, 2 & 3) count? Or am I being stoned to death for that lol

For some reason I liked the prequels more than the original trilogy. Obi Wan is my favorite character.

From the available choices, I went with Lord of the Rings. Second from those would be the original Star Wars Trilogy.

It also "graced" us with Jar Jar Binks and the monotoned Anakin.

To that end, I guess it's only fitting that he got put in a robotic suit, it's an extension of his personality.

I still remember the site JarJarMustDie.com like it was yesterday.

Lord of the rings without a doubt. I have the theatrical cut on DVD and extended cut on Blu-ray, very much enjoyed the 11 hour extended cut and watched the whole extended cut again with commentary track.

Unfortunately the Hobbit trilogy sits at the bottom of that list.

Which cut is better? I've heard conflicting things. I am going to watch them for the "first time" (seen them before but was far too young and my attention span was fucked).

I like the extended cut more as it better suits the pacing of the books as I remember them. The theatrical cut skips over things. The extended cut still does yet less. More time is spend on the journey. Watch it as a mini series, spend a week or two with it so you have time to reflect on it. I wouldn't watch it all in one go. I didn't read the book in one sitting either lol.

I don't think I have one favourite since there are too many.

Evil dead trilogy
Back to the future
Stormriders trilogy
Vengeance trilogy

I did vote for LOTR in the poll, but now I'm remembering what a whiny shitbag frodo was. If they released an edited version with all of his scenes removed then it would be the best without question, but as is it's a seriously flawed film trilogy.

I'll go for the Matrix instead then. The films did get progressively worse, but none of them were downright bad at least, and the first was fantastic.

Matrix 3 was terrible, i mean really terrible.

It was. And Matrix: Reloaded was simply okay.

But yeah, those 2 films definitely take it out of the discussion for best trilogy as great as the first one was. I'm kinda surprised to see it getting more votes than the Raimi Spider-Man trilogy as 3 was the only weak spot in that series.

It's 2018. Why do these polls no have labels for the radio buttons. 5 seconds of html editing. Come on.

A warrior keeps death on the mind from the moment of their first breath to the moment of their last.

I really need to rewatch the LOTR trilogy. I was 8 when the last one came out and i'm sure I missed a lot of it.

I still look at the indiana jones films as a trilogy and pretend the last one never happened.

Anakin and his hatred for sand that led him to the path of the dark side .
