Damn everyone saying LoTR. I just can't get into that franchise. Probably should rewatch them or try to.

They are fairly good - though they really pale compared to books, especially when it comes to Frodo/Sam - movie that acutally nailed overal feeling of the books quite good was Bakshi's animated /rotoscoped LotR from 1978, though it doesn't tell the whole story and second part was never made (at least technically, there is 1980s Return of the King that is fully animated, but in style of 77's Hobbit)

Unpopular opinion: Indie 3 best Indiana movie

It indeed is - I haven't watched them for quite some time and then last year or so I binge-watched all 3 with my kids and we all liked 3rd one the most.

Dollars trilogy (A Fistful of Dollars; For a Few Dollars More; The Good, the Bad and the Ugly)

Good call, but you can get an even greater Sergio Leone trilogy if you take Once Upon A Time In The West, Once Upon A Revolution (known as A Fistful Of Dynamite) and Once Upon A Time In America.

I'm really surprised at how unpopular The Godfather seems to have become ... although someone mentioned it as their choice I was the first vote for it. Either people here are just too young to rate it or they really hate Part 3.

Die Hard should count because it existed (and was marketed) as a trilogy for a long time before 4.0 was made. It shouldn't win though: the second film is weak and the third only average.

Hm, I never knew they were considered trilogy - they are indeed all great films, I just don't see them as connected too much - like with Three Colours (Blue, White, Red), they are deffinitelly treated and envisioned as trilogy, I just don't see them as too connected.

As for Godfather - I guess lot of people these days don't seem to know much of the older films - and yeah, Part III was quite lackluster

Does Star Wars - The Prequel Trilogy (Episode 1, 2 & 3) count? Or am I being stoned to death for that lol

For some reason I liked the prequels more than the original trilogy. Obi Wan is my favorite character.

From the available choices, I went with Lord of the Rings. Second from those would be the original Star Wars Trilogy.

Toy Story Trilogy

Dollars Trilogy is up there.

Star War is the best though.

Hmm, pie.

Dark Knight for me, but Toy Story deserves a big slapstick mention here.

Back to the future ... this is how you make proper trilogy. If it wasn't for the end credits, you wouldn't even notice that's a trilogy.

That's not very controversial, I think Raiders and Last Crusade are tied for best. If you said Crystal Skull is the best then that would be an unpopular opinion and it would also be one of the rare occasions where an opinion can be wrong.

I was just trying to make my opinion sound more original :(
