Forums - Nintendo Discussion - looking to upgrade my sd card for my Wii

Anyone know if there are some higher capacity cards that definitely work for the Wii? I have a 2gb but I was looking to upgrade to a 4-8gb card but not sure if the Wii can handle it. On the website it states some higher capacity card may not work this is why I am asking here to find out if there is anyone uses larger here so I know what brand will definitely work.

Wii only supports SD cards upto 2GB.

Manchester United 2008-09 Season - Trophies & Records

Records: First British Team To Win FIFA Club World Cup, New Record for No. Of Consecutive Clean Sheets In Premier League, New English & British League Records for Minutes Without Conceding, New Record For Going Undeafeated In Champions League (25 games ongoing), First British Team To Beat FC Porto In Portugal, First Club To Defeat Arsenal At The Emirates In European Competition, First Team In English League Football History To Win 3 Titles Back To Back On Two Seperate Ocassions

I don't think that anything above 2gb works with the Wii. It simply doesn't support SDHC (SD High Capacity). You could try I suppose, but will probably just be wasting your money.

i would suggest buying another 2gb card they are cheap anyways

yeah, its true, the wii doesn't support any SD card higher than 2 GB, what I would do is buy more 1 or 2 GB SD cards to fit all the memory.
