8 for me. Some nice reveals and surprises, but most importantly lots of good-looking gameplay, quick pacing, and a relatively brief running time.
I’d say it’s better than any of the pressers at E3 this year.

They didn't show at least 3 minutes of Duck Hunt Uprising like I predicted, and it was the only game I wanted, so I am very mad, Nintendo is going to bomb as a company now. /s

i give it an 8. not a ton of huge announcements, but more than enough mid-tier announcements to satisfy me. i still have to go back and fully digest everything. but the Isabelle reveal might have to be the most disappointing part of the whole direct. they could have announced ANYTHING, the hidden mode, the trophy count, and other new character. instead we got a very boring trailer and a teaser for Animal Crossing 2019. to be fair, i am very much looking forward to both SSBU and AC 2019 but the hype was just not there for me

I'd give it a solid 8/10, very good.
At first I was disappointed that they didn't show anything for Animal Crossing, not even an official title/logo (unless you think they're just gonna call it Animal Crossing by itself), but then I remembered that they basically did the same thing for Smash Bros Ultimate back in the March 2018 direct, so I guess it's just that they like having little teaser announcements at the end so people can be hyped for the future to see more of it.
Positives:
- Luigi's Mansion 3 was a nice surprise, was not expecting that to be shown here, especially not as the first thing
- Yoshi's Crafted World looks great and we now have a full title/release timeframe
- Animal Crossing announcement, while I wish they had shown anything, was still pretty good to know we have confirmation now and creates hype for 2019
- New IP from the Pokemon developers Game Freak, which was also quite a surprise
- Some good third party announcements in there like Civilization 6, all those Final Fantasy games, etc.
The only negatives I can really think of are:
- online subscription is still shit and they did a horrible job at trying to sell it. the fact that they're still trying to push the phone app lmao. but at least it's cheap and they went through it quickly.
One of the best they've ever done. Especially for a non E3 one.

What would be over performing? Personally I wasn't that interested (I had Wii u version and Mario Maker) until they said Luigi U comes with it too. That shot my interest level way up. How many are you expecting this to sell?
Decent showing from Nintendo. Next year should be a good one but I just wish,,,,really wish...mario u was coming this year...that’s my only gripe (and I already own the Wii U version)...
