FE and Bayonetta are not AAA games in Japan. Although with some of the graphical upgrades, I wouldn't be surprised if Three Houses replicates some of the success of the big 3DS entries (i.e. 500k+).

I don't know much about Bayonetta but I've never seen FE as a AA game before. Of course it's niche and it's RPG, but among the RPG market at least, I've been considering FE a AAA game. Can you elaborate more? I'm not disagreeing with you, though.

And when you say in Japan, are you saying that they're not AAA in Japan only, but could be AAA market-wise worldwide?

a bit sad that Final Fantasy VII is at number 1 considering it wont be out for like another 3 years. out of anything that people could be hyped about, theyre choosing to focus that energy on the one game with next to no development notes at all besides "its gonna be a while"

Is it tho ? Maybe at a certain level but knowing Smash and Pkmn will do 5x and more the sales of KH3 in japan, it's hard to imagine only this small fraction really want this game lmao. On that scale, it just shows that the people voting for this are just no wide enough to represent a true idea of the entire market.

Smash is on top 3:

1. [PS4] Final Fantasy VII Remake – 509 votes
2. [PS4] Kingdom Hearts III – 506 votes
3. [NSW] Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – 470 votes

Final Fantasy VII is one of the most loved FF ever and FF is one of the most notorious franchises ever. So we're talking about a game that is a long term most wanted for millions of players out there, including those that have never played it. Final Fantasy VII is epic.

Kingdom Hearts III is also known as one of the most waited sequels ever. For years many are asking for it. It's Disney x Square: there's a huge hype about it, specially in Japan.

Both games go beyond any hype over games that come out every generation, even titans like Smash. FFVII and KHIII are both huge mythological most wanted ones that are finally coming true in reasonable time. They'll fulfil a wait of many years for millions out there.

Nonetheless, Smash is right after them.

It makes sense to me.
