PS players can't access their accounts? Since when?

Ever since they bought a Switch.

I wonder why they bought a Switch? Could part of it be because Switch has something they want that Nin won't allow on other platforms maybe? I just stopped at multiple banks because I couldn't take care of things at only one because they don't allow cross platform banking. The ATM's that do allow it, charge an arm and a leg for that extra service. I stopped at a restaurant to order some food, including french fries, a common item that you can basically get anywhere, but was told I had to go to another food chain if I had to have that item. Businesses these days got some nerve to treat people like this. How dare they not cater directly to my every need, right this instant.

What does this corporate suit mean by inferior or superior experiences? The game is the fucking same across all platforms.

Can't believe some people are spinning this.

Click the article and read what he said in the context he did maybe? Surely you won't take the headline at face value? When do then ever spin things into an overly negative headline. FYI I actually read it.

"On cross-platform, our way of thinking is always that PlayStation is the best place to play. Fortnite, I believe, partnered with PlayStation 4 is the best experience for users, that's our belief," he said."

Come on now, Kero. Come on. I did read the article. And my comment is 100% appropriate. It's just more spin on top of spin. They don't want to give a good number of PS gamers the ability to have fun with friends across (or play on with the same account) all platforms, not just their own restrictive platform. I can't believe people are against this idea of crossplay. Like, what does it take away from you?

I don't want cross play ever either. Any title that has it like rocket league and fortnite with pc I switch it off. It is indeed an inferior experience for me compared to playing just ps4 players. I don't like it and don't want it.

Hey Kero, your friend Ethomaz was caught lying on resetera

https://www.resetera.com/threads/sony-on-crossplay-ps4-is-the-best-experience-for-gamers-and-therefore-should-not-be-compromised.65614/page-12

Holy shit. It’s been a good long while since I have seen decimation like that. Makes you wonder how many people tow the company line in regards to crossplay with no idea what they’re actually talking about.

There's pretty much no way this is the real reason. Instead of having the spine to tell the truth and say it's because the competition would benefit from this more than Sony, Sony comes up with an excuse that seemingly makes sense while trying to make PlayStation look better.

1. Of course it is the real reason. There is a slogan that literally just says it...

A business company is inclined to praise their product as better than the competitors. This is what Mr. Yoshida basically does. Nothing else.

2. If the truth is blatantly obvious to everyone, why should there be the need to tell it? But wait, as a matter of fact, Yoshida addresses it. Alas, not so obviously phrased for everyone to understand.

"I think competition is always good. Healthy, fair competition is always good for the industry and growth,"

Healthy and Fair. How is it healthy and fair for a corporation to undermine the process of companies competing against each other, damaging the road that lead to its position of success and give others a helping hand to get their game on?

Zkuq said:

That's not to defend the others either, of course, especially since Microsoft was in a similar situation during last generation.

3. No, they were not. Back then it was an exceptional case, not a continuously pushed feature constantly in the center of public attention.

Btw., the thread headline is still wrong.

1. Do you believe everything a company says in its marketing material? I don't, and that's why I don't consider this the real reason.

2. I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to get at here.

3. I disagree. Here we have a disagreement that's the result of fundamentally differing points of view though, so discussing this point any further is probably pointless.

They wanted to play games on it.

The usual way the big three handle their exclusives. Props to XBox for releasing a number of their games on PC though.

If these businesses want my money, they gotta put up with me and my demands; to a reasonable extent of course.

1. What a redundant question. It seems you did not read and understand what is written underneath the link.

2. Indeed. As so many others don't understand.

3. I agree. No point in continuing. Not because of fundamentally differing PoVs. Fundamentally there is no fundament for your viewpoint.

See, this what am talking about. There was no outcry, because Cross(Platform)Play wasn't made relevant by anyone. There was no "similar situation".

you're right but this move has made me buy my niece a switch so she can play Fortnite and Minecraft with my kids as my kids have an Xbox and switch already and my niece only had a ps4 seems like now sony will lose out as I will only purchase v bucks for my niece on her switch account now as opposed to her ps4 account

But that won't stop you or others from buying games for a PS4.

yes it would and honestly, if I lived close to my niece I would've taken her ps4 and traded it in for an Xbox one because of sony being stubborn

This is actually great. Let MS suck on dem nuts for being a dick last gen.

She would have cried I bet. I know I would have if my uncle had kicked open the screen door, and traded in my ColecoVision for an Intellivison because he was mad over how Coleco was staggering Cabbage Patch Kids shipments. Or whatever. I'm glad there's some distance between the two of you, so that she could be spared from your forced downgrade. #kidslovethatps4
