This is definitely in the Top 5, if not Top 3, best months of plus!

It's been a great year - and we still have 3 more months to go!  Here's a recap of the year so far:

SEPTEMBER

  -snip

Kind of sad ever since I got close to maxing out my 2TB drive I quit grabbing the free titles... or at least checking them as often.  Many good games on that list that I didn't pick up. The damned Switch has monopolized my time this year for sure.  It's been quite some time since I sat down by myself and played my PS4.

Meh month for me. I played GOW III on the PS3. The Remaster did not bring anything worthwhile to revisit. I never played the first Destiny and am still not even sure what type of game it is or what it's about so Destiny 2 does not interest me at all. This did remind me to add Mafia III to my collection though.

So... Destiny 2...

That's really fantastic!!

Megaton month. Kerotan vindicated again. Remember years ago when I said ps plus would become amazing again like the late ps3 years. It was so obvious to me but so many couldn't see it

! Did you at least add them to your library? It sounds like you didn't.

Good month for sure. Sony must have shelled out pretty big bucks to get Destiny 2 on Plus a year after it released.

I wouldn't be surprised if Destiny 2 sales haven't had the pick up from the Curse of Osiris and Warmind expansions that they expected and it maybe that the different expansion passes  for Destiny 2 / Forsaken aren't selling at a rate  high enough to keep enough active players spending on Destiny while attracting new players  .

If my theories are correct then Destiny 2 on Plus might have been offered up for next to nothing, the timing with Forsaken just around the corner points that way, whatever the circumstance I can't see Sony instigating this especially without there being strong public expectation pushing for it to be on Plus.

next to nothing is probably too strong a description.

But i wouldnt be surprised if if the situation of D2, the release of the new DLC, and Sony having a marketing deal all worked together for a decent price point.

Your right I should have clarified that next to nothing comment , what I mean is  I expect that most of the time publishers offer up lots of different games for consideration knowing Sony need content for Plus then the negotiation starts from there, with Sony then picking up what suits it needs and budget, where this seems different is in  the type of game and the fact that it looks like it will act as another  gateway for the upcoming Expansion(s) , rather than being  the usual Plus game that's either an indie or a game just enough past its commercial prime to come cheap but still be somewhat attractive to their customers. unlike those games Destiny is ongoing but the value of Destiny 2 the game  is now as a base for the expansions and DLC,  because of this I feel that Destiny 2 being put on Plus might not be based on Sony offering money.

That's a great month. I wonder if they're stepping up the offerings to combat game pass?
Either way, we all win.

Yeah they've effectively made the base game F2P hoping people buy the expensive dlc although the first 2 expansions are on sale for a combined 18 euro right now which is good. I'd say they'll have the base game on sale for next to nothing from now on. 10 euro in December sale etc
