Forums - Politics Discussion - US Senator John McCain has died at age 81

He was a true American hero. As a politician, he did what he believed in but he was a mixed bag. I hope he rests in peace.

At long last, another war criminal is dead. Why are people bootlicking him so damn much? He didn't give a shit about the average American and certainly didn't give a shit for all the Vietnamese he killed in that awful war. Let's not get into Yemen, Iraq and Iran..

One more thing, are you people going to pull the same stunt for Dubya, Cheney and * gasp* Kissinger?

As a non-American, I don't know enough about his political views to know whether I would have agreed with them or not, but the little I do know about him points at him being a very respectable politician and person.

A lot og pacifists in this thread it seems. Guess you guys love what happened in Rwanda in the 90's.

The Maverick died long before this day.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

What a silly argument. You know that for every Rwanda there are 15 Libyas, no?

His biggest difference to Trump was his constant push for regime change in the Middle East

Some of these reactions are indicative of how some people think of people who oppose them politically.
