Forums - Politics Discussion - Man with Child Tased by Police Officer: A Discussion

Police Chief Jeff Jedrusik said officers wrote in a report that the man had been "aggressive" and gripping his 2-month-old son so tightly they worried he might hurt him.

The officers had arrived Friday at a backyard barbecue and reported that the man was intoxicated and uncooperative, said the chief.

When the man learned he would be arrested, he grabbed the baby and wouldn't release him, said Jedrusik. Officers told the man several times to return the baby to his mother, but the man refused to do so.

The man is a coward. Other people also rang the cops on the guy as he was abusing and threatening randoms on the street.

Ops post reminds me of that swedish lady recently that stopped the deportation of a convicted woman beater and had tortured his children with an extension cord by whipping them. Stop seeing red op and research first. So much fake on the net for the quick tempted.

Wouldn't mind hearing OPs thoughts on what actually happened. I'm going to guess that the cops planted the child on the man....

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

Just looked up at that Swedish story - that woman is being portrayed as a hero - no update to the story about who she was trying to protect. It’s time for people to get the facts first before jumping to conclusion. Now OP has to stay away from his own thread because he did just that.

Using Shaun King as a source, lol.

I'm starting to see a pattern in these threads... can't tell what it is ... hmmm

Low and behold.

Westland police released this statement to 7 Action News on Monday:

On August 17th Westland Police Officers were dispatched to an address on Belding Court in Westland on report that a male subject had physically assaulted a female and that he had damaged her vehicle.

Westland Police Officers made contact with the man involved in the incident. It was determined that the man was going to be arrested for the assault, the damaged property and also for a number of outstanding arrest warrants. Once the man learned that he was going to be arrested he grabbed the child from the mother’s arms and held the child tightly. The man refused to release the child back to the mother who was also asking for the child back.

At that time the police officers on scene felt that a close quarters direct taser deployment directly to the subjects back was the safest option. The video shows that during the deployment the child was also in the hands of the mother. The child was not injured during the arrest. The child was examined by the Westland EMT and turned over to the mother.

Like all Use of Force incidents, The Westland Police Department will conduct a thorough internal investigation to determine whether policy and procedure was followed and whether the incident was handled correctly. At this point in time that investigation is only in the beginning phase.

An actual source, with actual context! Why are so many threads missing that lately and instead using crap from twitter or youtube instead?

Worst part about it is only took a few mins to find that and I posted that not long after he posted the OP.

There are some shitty cops but there are also lots of great cops that risk their life everyday to make America a safer place.

Yeah, but not for black people it seems. Show me white cops saving black civilians from harm and maybe I'll change my mind.

You’re saying white people don’t get tased?

Not nearly as much as black people.

Not really strange when black people are most involved in criminal activities (that is a fact).

Also, why do you think it never reaches the news when a black cop shoots a white criminal? Or when a black cop shoots a black criminal or a white cop shooting a white criminal? Because people won't care and it doesn't get media attention. People want money and views. The very same applies to terrorist attacks reaching the news way more often then a few decades back (up to 350x more) while terrorist attacks have actually DECREASED. Now it looks like terrorist attacks in America and Europe are a huge problem, while it is the exact opposite. Solely because of media attention we get the wrong impression of real problems in this world.

You don't pay much attention then if you think people don't notice a when police are assholes regardless of race. People noticed when that black police officer was beating the crap out of that person in Baltimore, so much so that he had to resign.
