Far be it for me to put words in someone's mouth, but I think he's covertly referencing your middling performance in Week 1. He also probably took a glance at your overall standings, although (without looking) I'm assuming you didn't submit any picks on Week 2, as it's hard to do an 0-fer. His overall thesis though appears to be "prove it," as even I somehow stumbled my way into the top of last week's standings.*

*Spoiler alert: that won't be happening regularly

Pretty much hit the nail on the head, although it extends beyond just Week 1 of this season. He's got a history of making absurd predictions (like guaranteeing a Cowboys win against the "trash" Packers in the 2016 playoffs), and then being nowhere to be found if they go wrong. He's basically been the Skip Bayless of this thread over the years.
