Forums - Sports Discussion - The NFL Thread 2018: The New England Patriots win Super Bowl LIII

Who Will Win Super Bowl LIII?

Saints 5 21.74%

Chiefs 2 8.70%

Rams 3 13.04%

Patriots 9 39.13%

Cowboys 2 8.70%

Chargers 1 4.35%

Eagles 1 4.35%

Colts 0 0%

Total:23

Devonta Freeman still can't block pass rushers for shit, it seems. Guess that much hasn't changed since SB LI.

I hate how everyone acts like the "philly special" is some God like play that only Doug Peterson has ever called. The Lions did it the last game of the year a month before the super bowl.

The Eagle's running backs just need to run through the line and stop dancing. Have faith in your offensive line. It's one of the best in the league ffs.

Edit: See when you don't dance, you get a lot of yards. I think a coach finally told him.

Don't think anyone could have predicted how that game went... Penalties and missed calls galore on top of both superstar QBs playing so poorly.

Both QBs are mediocre. I just picked Philadelphia to win because they have a better offensive and defensive of line. Also, I think Peterson is second best coach.

Not mediocre compared to say half the teams QBs. Matt Ryan is always on top of the stats, and Foles just won a SB against Brady so I give him that.

Matt Ryan division allows him to play saints and buccaneers twice that inflate his stats with their shit defense and he chokes all the time when the game is on the line. Nick Foles wins only because he has a good offensive and defensive line. If he had an average offensive line and defensive line, they would get whooped by patriots. Nick Foles is nowhere near as good as Tom Brady. It's like saying Eli Manning is better or in the same league as Tom Brady because he beat him at a super bowl.

Yes of course the entire team matters. While Tom Brady put up much better numbers than Nick Foles, Nick Foles still had better execution in the plays on that day like on the trick play. But the credit there most likely goes to the coach anyways.

No, it had to do with the fact Patriots Defense sucked really badly. Tom Brady had to do a lot more against a powerful Eagles defense. However, it goes to show yet again whoever has the better lineman usually wins unless the QB is just garbage.

Yet the Patriots defense had the sole interception, and I think 0 penalties. While the Philly defense allowed 613 yards and 33 points.  I wouldn't say they played well, seems like a ridiculous amount of yardage and the points is over 30.
