Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Diablo III - The Eternal Collection for Switch accidentally leaked, will have exclusive content

As for myself, I don't know if I'll get it. On the one hand, I love the game (it's SO much better than at launch) but I've also already played it on PC for more something like 700 hours (maybe more).

Well, sales on the Switch eShop happen to. Usually not for fresh releases though. So some sale might happen down the line, like it did on PS4, but for comparison the usual price should be used.

Well, I just look at the time and effort it probably took to do the Crash N'Sane Trilogy and compare it to the time and effort to port Diablo 3 to the Switch, and I'd say it was probably took more time and cost more to make the Crash port that sold for $40 on release.

That's my mindset. But, then again this isn't about cost and effort, this is about maximizing profit.

That's exactly right. Not sure though if Crash really is more demanding than Diablo. Devs report to have more of a problem with cartridge size than anything, so the old textures and models of Crash even remastered took less space. I can find that Crash on PS4 is 30GB install size, Diablo 40GB. This can actually be the bigger effort, to get the size down.

But in any case, it doesn't really matter, as you point out profit is all that matters. Crash being a remaster couldn't be set at the same price as the newer game. Because of customer perception, nothing else. A game cost as much as the publisher thinks he can ask for and get away with it, not how much effort got into creating it.

Well that confirms no new direct until september, but hey, Diablo 3 on Switch that's cool.
I'm just waiting for D4 or a remake of D2 tbh

I think I played D3 once... I don't think it's my type of game. Cool that it's coming to Switch though!

This is a port that's worth the full price on my opinion. It will be the most feature complete with all the expansions and Nintendo content. I'm sure I've seen it on the PS store going for full price.

Joint-most actually. The PS4 version has all the expansions too as well as exclusive TLOU content.

That sounds cool. Either way this is a port done correctly

Well im not really intrrested in Diablo 3, maybe i'll get it on Switch at a discounted price but i didnt really like the 3 on pc so.

I've heard of people who didn't like it on PC but liked the console version; supposedly the console versions can be a lot of fun. I'm more of a Path of Exile guy myself, but I've played my fair share of D3 over the years. I actually got an item that sold for about $150 just a couple weeks after the game launched... I ended up using the money to buy stuff for my own character, as I didn't really need money at the time and it seemed like it would be a pain.

That's sweet. Love Diablo 3. I have the UEE for the PS4, but Ill get this. What is the Rise Of The Necromancer DLC all about?

They added a new class last year. There was also a few new areas added at the same time but no additional Act like with Reaper of Souls.

Oh ok. Thanks

Yeah i do like PoE a lot more too. I played Diablo and finished all the difficulties and i thought it was too easy tbh. Idk i got tired real fast of the gameplay. I hate the spells and the runes dont add anything to me. I usually play Amazon/Sorcerer in these games but the 2 had uninspired spells and i was disappointed.
