Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Dark Souls: Remastered Switch and Solaire of Astora amiibo launching October 19

Well, at least the Amiibo will make this version not die in oblivion.

Physical cheat codes are awesome.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Not really a good month. too many games in September and October.

At some point I really like to hear the story about what went wrong. From reveals the remaster at the direct and it was implied all versions release at the same time, then out of nowhere only the Switch version gets delayed. I smell some major fuckup somewhere, to here about it when the dust has settled will be interesting.

My guess is that there were online issues. I mean, we got to see so much footage of some of the more intense areas up and running on Switch a while ago so it leaves me thinking the online stuff was more hassle than they expected. But that is just my guess. I will be super interested to find out the truth.

Hmm, online issues. Now it looks suspicious, that it gets a firm release date shortly after we learn about the Switch online launch date, and said release date is about a month after.

I wonder if they're still doing the network stress test.

Possible factor is that other versions will be connecting from a home network while NS version likely needed more tests for when not connecting in such an environment in portable mode.

Better ever than never, cant wait.

Blight town was already seen in expos footage and it had no problems.

The issue is another one, and I think network ones would not delay it 5 months.
