Forums - Gaming Discussion - Bethesda May Not Release The Elder Scrolls: Legends On Systems That Don't Allow Crossplay

Sony allow crossplay between PC/Mobile, basically as long as it's not another companies console it's ok.

So Boundless will never make it to Xbox/Nintendo then?

It might, all it would mean is PS4 can't play with Switch/XBO players and vice-versa.

Rocket League is on all platforms after all. Switch/XBO/PC can play together, PS4/PC can play together, but PS4 and Switch/XBO can't join games with each other.

i wonder if there is any third party studio who doesn't make exclusives for anyone who is so far up one particular console maker's arse as bethesda are up microsofts?

Cool. Now do this for Fallout 76.

Stick it to sony!!! Show em who's boss!!!!!!

Anyone knows the real policies for cross play (both for Microsoft and ps4). I'm asking because I see a lot of disparate information on the subject. For example, we can play FF14 on PCs and PS4 and Boundless will be cross play on PS4, MAC and PC (1 server). Plus, I tested Fortnite on Switch and ps4 and I didn't see any blocked features.

Is all of this a PR push?

Sony allows Cross-play with phones and PC, but not with it's competing consoles, meaning no cross-play with Xbox or Nintendo. Microsoft and Nintendo allow Cross-play with anything, but since Sony doesn't want to play with them Playstation blocks itself out.

Seems like Bethesda just talking big only on small fights they think they can win, Bethesda doesn't have the balls to do that for Fallout 76.

....But they will come after their consumers that buys their games and plan on reselling it, that's who's showing who's boss! xD

This absolutely is a PR led campaign. Microsoft absolutely want their services on Playstation consoles going forward. They absolutely want to be in control of a single platform service. They want to sell Sony's 100+ million players as their own. Bethesda too, want to sell things like the vast Eso community on PS4 to one a tenth of the size on Xbox.

The whole campaign has been PR led from the start, and jumped upon by Xbox fans who are using it mainly as an attack on Sony, because I don't know any of the Xbox guys in my gaming circles who want to really play with Sony fans. They are using this whole issue to further the none stop console warring.

I don't want my game time to be an extension of what is happening constantly on Facebook, Twitter and gaming forums. Gaming is my break from that rubbish. If I meet somebody Who I like, I want to add them as friends, to play every game with, not think nm, they are not on PS4. I would rather give up gaming, then play in toxic console warring environments.

What does need to change this gen is Sony need to stop blocking cross progression, and simply block off exclusive content from carrying out of Sony ecosystem, such as exclusive skins. Then Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft need to sit down together and make a discord style system that unifies all systems from next gen onwards. A full unified platform is definitely the future, but the gaming community needs to leave behind the toxicity and overblown rivalry based on pieces of plastic for it to be a good thing.

Hopefully xbox and nintendo give some money to PlayStation so they can finally play together.win win for everyone.

Oh no, not the card game!

DQ10 is an anomaly I think, because it allow nintendo and ps4 cross play
