I'm not sure I follow what you're saying. If MHWG comes out and does well on PS4 would you consider that a 'standalone home console Monster Hunter game' or would you consider it in tandem with MHW since it's basically the same game with some extra content?

In other words, I don't think we've seen the 'full extent' of MHW for PS4 just yet.

Even though its just an updated version, they are usually counted as a seperate game.

Well Switch domination as usual.

The MonHun bundle had no effect. No doubt Capcom is dissapointed. Speaking of Capcom. Looks like their sabotage of Megaman on Switch has worked.

29K vs 20K (and another 3K sku not charting) is hardly "worked out". In fact, Switch overperformed.

There were other MM Collection SKUs on PS4 too.

From what i've gathered, Mega Man is more associated with Playstation then Nintendo in Japan because the famicom games didn't do too hot and the Mega Man X series is apparently Playstation exclusive in Japan. I think it did pretty well with that stuff in mind.

Very surprised to see PS4 leading on Megaman, Switch players usually like those games with old graphics more...

Second commercial failure in row for NIS. Japanese PS fans clearly don't appreciate their attitude towards Vita and Playstation in general. On the other side, they fail to attract Switch players. Western sales are a matter of survival now.

Good week for re-releases, especially Peach Beach Splash.
Surprised to see CollarxMalice, I heard Idea Factory was done with Vita...

Bolded: Megaman X (well, Rockman X) is more associated with PS in Japan thanks to the games actually being PS-exclusives for some time. In addition, the 1+2 collection for Switch has a mandatory download attached to it.

Italicized: Since you can read Japanese, I'm interested in whether you could verify some things I've heard about NIS being regarded as a "kusoge" developer by core gamers now.
Of course, the effect of NIS producing bomb after bomb is a further reliance on their upcoming mobage and on NISA. And NISA getting even more non-NIS projects is...amusing, to say the least.

Everyone, please have a look at this. Media Create has just hit a 5-year low in software sales. Switch doesn't have a sustainable effect in reviving the JP market. Many people are either leaving console gaming or spending less because the current offer doesn't fit. Japan desperately needs a new portable Playstation.

I don't know if that answers your question, but I follow a news site called Hachima Kikô, and since that infamous interview of NISA president (in which he bashes Sony etc.), any NIS-related article gets tons of comments (hundreds). Many of them making fun of NISA and their deal with Nintendo. This week, the Disgaea bomb was very commented also, including people expecting NIS to go bust. Besides, Disgaea Refine has currently 2 stars on amazon JP. The rage is real.

Sony is wise to focus on the west with how much the Japanese gaming market has collapsed. Portability trumps everything in Japan and Sony put out 2 portable devices and neither of them could get all that great of a foothold there. Leaving it to Nintendo is a wise choice. Completely disagree that Japan needs a portable Playstation.
