Wait.

They tuned the females of DoA6 into cool characters and less sex objects.. and that's a bad thing? I dont care about SJW's, but your viewpoint is pretty shitty as well. Also, that article you linked. Shove it. It is a totally biased. The Director stated that the breast of the female characters will match their body types, not every female having cup sizes 3x the body size.

DOA has always been a fun, over the top, campy fighter that has been very approachable in its systems. DOA6 seems to pivoting to a more serious, darker game. They want to avoid criticism of the game's fanservice, so I feel like they're overcompensating too much and changing the type of game it is.

Whenever the game bombs so hard, they're pivot back to where their fans are and apologize.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

100% getting both. Considering Fighting EX Layer. Waiting patiently for any word on Virtua Fighter 6.

No No. They specifically acknowledged what you just said in your first sentence, and they would not be moving away from that tone. Nothing about the DoA6 trailer points to it being more serious/darker. I am still not clear on what that issues are with the game.  They have not done anything but give the females realistic cup sizes!

I don't know how you watch gameplay and not see how it looks different. The weird slo-mo closeups of the character's face getting beaten and the blood effects are certainly new. It looks like they wanted to make DOA closer to something like Mortal Kombat without the finishers.

So they added new elements to a new entry in a long running series? *gasp*. You have to be kidding me. They may have been inspired by MK.. So what. Street Fighter and King of Fighters grew right along side each other a bottowed from each other heavily. Both DoA and Tekken were inspired by Virtual Fighter.

Your implication that they couldn't be cool before and seeing them as only sex objects says more about you than anything else, honestly. Regardless of their marketing and approach with the game, the developers themselves saying this very thing - that they were only sex dolls before and not characters - is hugely offensive to anyone who has enjoyed the games for the last 15 years, anyone who has worked on the games for the last 15 years and honestly, offensive to their entire company itself.

Implying that women can only be cool characters if they aren't sexy is extremely toxic, and pissing on your fans is absolutely terrible. Maybe DoA6 will end up being a good game, but their treatment of fans will hurt it regardless of its quality.

This. And he took it a step further by body-shaming large-breasted women (and, by extension, male gamers who like having them in games) by calling them "less human" than smaller-chested women, which is not only insulting to their fanbase, but it makes him out to be a sexist pig.

Large-breasted women are taking him to task for these comments all over Twitter, el oh el:

You KNOW DOA is going to offer the sexiest costumes as DLC, right? It's the DOA way.

I'll probably get both eventually, after Virtua Fighter these are my favourite traditional fighting franchises. But that said, I'm not desperate for either. If Soul Calibur would cross over with Final Fantasy then I'd be there on day one (done properly, not like Ehrgeiz) but since that's very unlikely I'll probably wait until they get big price cuts. I suppose if we get some more info, I might decide to buy earlier. I'm just about done with fighting games except for VF and Smash Bros though.

I dislike fighting games in general, but isn't DOA giving in to SJW's this time around? Based on that, I will never even touch the game even if it was free.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.
