it was april through august, they are now tied. you still need a 100k.

Yeah, my bad, but like I wrote, July will again be huge month for Switch, probably 300k+, and August will probably be also be YoY up. Last year July+August combined sold around 430k, this year we probable talking around 550k+.

june is always much bigger then july, 4 vs 5 weeks, and its just a stronger month even when comparing 4 weeks, then june had E3 for nintendo, a big promotion in gamestop with the amazing trade in deal, plus mario aces which was a heavy advertised game, and fortnite release on switch.

I think ps4 still has a good chance, prediction tool had xbox doing bad in june yet it was very close to switch  sales wise, as for the insider well i wouldn't put too much stock in what he says based off his history.

Lmao your doing this again? He got one month wrong land even then he said these were his thoughts not what would defo happen.

what months did he get right? he had switch in december by a landslide it only beat xbox by 10%, then you have months where ps4 beat switch by landslide yet he never comments on how ps4 has is in the bag this month.

That dont change point that all points that July for Switch was very strong, going from Amazon listings, VGC predictions tools, Resetera leakers, Nintendo statment about Switch strong momentum from E3...so yeah, we can expect onother 300k+ month for Switch.

It won't even break 230k, you can quote me on this. nobody is gonna go run out and buy a switch for fortnite when its been out on every platform for months, not to mention they look and play much better, plus sony won't even allow you to use your account on switch.

It's always fun to see how quickly the narrative changes.

NES Classic is not a game console. It is in a category called Plug in Play. Counting it as a console is ridiculous. You can't buy games for it so its sales have no influence on game sales in the industry. What it is is a smart idea by Nintendo. What are the numbers btw?

i mean july has never been a big month i don't think ps4 has ever sold over 250k in july, over 300k would be insane, and i don't see it, but good luck, just keep your expectations in check.

yea switch blew away my expectation for june, but's mainly cause i thought ps4 did 230k last year in june, and i was looking at july.

Funny, I remember last year when the Snes launched, some people claimed it won that month, and switch got 2nd place. So at the end of the year switch had 1 victory less vs Ps4 in terms of won months. Now the Nes was #1 but it shouldnt count because is not in the same category as the other consoles, so Ps4 won the month. Interesting.....

I honestly don't remember anyone saying that, link to the thread?

Im not the kind of person that goes around digging threads to post links, not my hobby, especially being in a rush in my celphone. But there was a thread about it, who won most months in the year (NPD). Such claim I believe was made there, if my memory doesnt fail me.

You should probably address the exact individuals than claim that people against calling NES the number one console this month like myself, when last year I would have said the same thing.  Whoever claimed that Switch didn't win last year needs to explain their definition of console.
