Forums - Gaming Discussion - Marty Sliva leaving IGN

Alanah has an other job that she wanted to do, but she wanted to stream full time but she is not allowed to stay in the states if she does it.

Hm, not shocking really. His complete disappearance from podcast in the last few months have been weird

IGN used to be good, but they just keep hiring too many random freelance writers. I like Easy Allies, and Destructoid because they have one guy doing the bulk of the reviews. It makes it easier to get to know and understand the reviewer. So if they say something bad about a game, I might get it anyway, due to knowing their tastes and writing style for so long, that I know their criticisms won't be mine.

Things like this can happen in any organisation being nobody's fault, however for those who got used to watching the old crew, it's a bit bitter.

God bless You.

My Total Sales prediction for PS4 by the end of 2021: 110m+

When PS4 will hit 100m consoles sold: Before Christmas 2019

There were three ravens sat on a tree / They were as blacke as they might be / The one of them said to his mate, Where shall we our breakfast take?

Him and Alanah use to be like best friends.....now they dont even follow each other on Twitter....same as Brian and Max Scoville. Something happened between alanah and marty that pushed some away from Marty

I agree that if you're going to run a big site, it's better to have at most ... like ... 4-5 people running it. I've watched a couple of those old Gamespot reviews and it's impressive how well they describe a game in like 5 minutes, seriously. I think their best reviews were .... Greg and .. Jeff? I think that's their first names. They were great. I think the fat one is one Destructoid or something, he's on all the VR memes now.

His name is Marty Sliva

Is that the 7.8/10 too much water person? That's the only thing I know about IGN so if it isn't that person I don't care

She left a good while ago.

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

IGN staff dropping like flies

NND: 0047-7271-7918 | XBL: Nights illusion | PSN: GameNChick

IGN stopped being relevant to me when Matt Cassamassina left. At this point the only info sources I truly care about are on YouTube and they're not even "professionals." It's not just about the reporting; it's about tone, and the entire editorial staff at IGN is just so focused on being jaded trolls that it's difficult to watch/read without cringing.
