Forums - Politics Discussion - Gallup: 0% of Americans consider Russia the most important problem facing the country - most important topic is immigration/illegal aliens

Finally showing us how small the vocal minority really is. Pathetic critters. At least the majority of people are thinking realistically.

That's a really stupid opinion though, somebody in charge decided to run that lol. I'm not saying they can't say those things but why would I bother reading anything else from that site? The entire joke is that Trump is in bed with Russia. When you can't take a joke and you're worried about how your segregated faction is represented then this is what you get. What do they want, an apology for associating their faction with Trump? Fuck off it's satire.

This poll would be significant if it actually got people to rank the issues, rather than just giving one answer.
It's like asking, what's more important: Food, sunlight, air, water? And somehow water ended up with no votes If you don't think water is important, you're a fool..

Basically, if you are not concerned that Putin is turning you into a puppet state, you're a fool.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

And yet, somehow I have a feeling the US media is only going to double down on the Russia (aka Cold War Part 2) bullshit hysteria...

I find it hard to believe it would be 0%. Very questionable poll, wich are easy to influence in the first place depending on how you phrase the questions.

Top priority? Maybe not. But it definitly should be one of. Unless ofc, if americans are ok with bein a satellite of Russia.

It is still in a news publication. Somebody actually thought this was worth reading and gave the ok to have it published. That's the sad part about it all.

Nobody outside of a few former Soviet republics and whatever's left of Syria is or could be a Russian satellite. When a lot of people think of Russia, they think of the former USSR and they really shouldn't. Russia does not have the geopolitical influence of the USSR. They certainly don't have the economic or military might. At this point, Russia isn't even a regional power. Russia's strong point is they are a nuclear power, so nobody will mess with them. They also supply energy to Europe, so the Europeans can't be too mean to Russia like the US can. China is more of a threat to the US than Russia could ever hope to be. China can economically and militarily stand up to the US, unlike Russia. Also, unlike Russia, China has more of a geopolitical influence. Right now, they are more or less colonizing parts of East Africa. If anyone has the power to influence a US election, it is China.

On the topic of meddling in elections, if the Russians did indeed guess an easy password to gain access to the DNC servers, then it was done locally by people working on behalf of Russia because of the download speeds of the information that was being accessed. This is why so many people still think Seth Rich was involved. It's because it was done locally by somebody who knew the password. There was no actual hacking. Also, whoever did it knew that there was something to be found. I would argue that Russia has probably meddled in US elections to some extent since probably 1948. Back during the Soviet era, it would have been easier for them to do it because they had so many agents and double agents everywhere in those days. After all this time and with fewer resources than what they had during the Soviet era, it would be one hell of a coincidence if Russia just happened to stumble on to a series of incriminating emails that exposed cheating and corruption within the Democratic Party. I'm not saying it couldn't have happened. It just seems too good to be true. After all these decades, they finally find the right person at the right time to take down a political enemy.
