Forums - Gaming Discussion - Two Point Hospital release date confirmed

In a recent tweet from Two Point Studio devs, Two Point Hospital is set to release on August 30th.

The devs are also offering a 10% discount to those that pre-order (I'd rather not since it's not going out of stock and I'd rather pay them in full).

They are also currently livestreaming gameplay:https://steamcommunity.com//broadcast/watch/76561198841192252/

The game is due to release on PC, Mac & Linux.

End of Aug is going to be good for me with this game and Universim.

The game looks fun. Let's hope it also ends up being good.

From what I've seen over the months, it looks like it's going to be the Cities Skylines to EA's SIm City, which means a good spiritual successor

Any word on a console release? I'd love a console release of this game and this would be perfect on the Switch.

That it looks to be a good successor of Theme Hospital is something obvious from the start. After all, some of the devs behind this game were also the ones behind Theme Hospital.

But so far we've only seen impressions from short demos and a handfuil of missions. We still don't know if the game will be fun for long plays or only for small bursts.

No word on a console release. Though this being a CPU based game, I imagine a Switch version being ruled out, otherwise we would have seen Cities Skylines and Planet Coaster on Switch by now, and we haven't even seen Planet Coaster announced for current gen either.

The livestream they ran today had someone asking what platforms they were releasing on. They just said PC and Mac, with Linux being announced via a previous tweet.

That's why I also trust them all the more, since they previously worked on the original title, so they the knowledge and experience needed to make this a decent successor to the original game. That and they don't have a publisher like EA to twist their arms and demolish their projects.

Well the original had it's own missions and it is a game about managing a hospital as well as staff and patients with made up illnesses, there isn't much to go with beyond that
