The Sonic Adventure games have aged terribly though. Almost as badly as Oblivion has aged.

That is awesome, Sonic Mania sitting right in the middle of the Golden Age of Sonic games, just where it belongs. Can't wait to get the extra content for Mania, already have 3 files with max emeralds on all 3 launch characters, looking forwards to playing through it all again as Mighty and Ray!

and I'd still play Adventure over most other sonic games and I'd still play Oblivion over Skyrim lol

Sega will obviously respond with this message we are giving them by giving us more 3D Sonic and more friends.

Sonic Mania still doesn't have Shadow and Rouge as DLC so -5 points.

Most 3d sonic games or most sonic games including the 2d stuff?

Have you played through Generations on either the X360 or 3DS? they're great games and have a fine mix of 2d and 3d sonic action, possibly some of my favourite 3d Sonic gaming.

I wonder how much Sonic 3 would've scored with the & knuckles.

Though Sonic Mania plus surely rivals it. My only "complaint" is in the stage selection. Sonic 3 and knuckles was perfect in that regard.

i dont think that sega will ever get the message about the superior sonic game. they seem dense at the top.

yup i have nearly every sonic game. Generations was great and so was Colors

Heard really good things about Colors but it's still on my backlog of shame, would you say it's on par with Generations? Or better/worse?
