Forums - Sales Discussion - In the long run, is there any chance for Skyrim on Switch to match with the XOne version?

(Talking about physical sales, pretty sure digital is way ahead on XOne).

So,as I was checking with the sales of Skyrim,I got surprised how the gap between the Switch version and the XOne version are smaller than I thought (At least comparing with the gap of the other versions).

So I was wondering...Any chance for the Switch version to catch up? First of all, I realize how the XOne version had a way better launch, including the following weeks leading to the holiday, however the legs on the Switch really are something else. more than 6 months after launch it still makes an average 10k-15k weekly without a price cut and with only one holiday to go by.

So,what do you think? Is there any chance or it is crazy thinking?

It is not. Just curious about what people think.

This seems about right when looking at installbases.

Yeah.. I would think so.  I see it selling well over 2 million lifetime.

Maybe? We have to see how it does once it gets a discount or a pricedrop.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

You're right, the momentum currently is better than that of the Xbox One. Still, the last weeks it won around 5K a week against XB1-version launch aligned, which would mean if that continues it takes another 100 weeks. Maybe it does well in the holidays on Switch (PS4-version did better in the holidays than XB1-version, so it's possible).

I am surprised that at this point neither Skyrim nor Doom in Switch have had a discount in their price, considering that we are talking about Bethesda and the Bethesda games usually go down quickly. It seems that Bethesda believes that Nintendo fans are willing to pay full price for much longer.

If this receives a discount on its price, it could be closer to the Xbox One version.
