It's very relevant actually : casual 3rd party games sell much better on Switch so it gets more of them exclusively (Sumikko Gurashi, Fitboxing, Neko Tomo...)

Disgaea being a casual IP CONFIRMED!!!

Goddammit, I have been looking at this game ALL WRONG!!!!Thank you for saving my damaged soul!

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Back on topic, I think Octopath could be anywhere physically next week, since it has been sold out, and it appears square enix has apologized for this.

If you select the Japan region (this is the Japan sales thread after all, you'd see it is slightly below the PS4 version.

So, I guess Little Nightmares is also a casual IP?

Is 9500 to 8500 "much better"? And that's not even including the 11k sales from the PSN store according to gamedatalibrary.

Who said anything about it being much better?

Being a PS4 exclusive for 2 years, it should be more than just slightly ahead.

It was a wise choice porting it to Switch.

It's slightly below launch aligned in Japan. Though after the next holiday boost the PS4 version basically flatlines, so maybe there the Switch version can get past, as right now they move at the same speed

That would be the ryuzaki quote to which Mnementh was responding to.

Also worth taking note of is that every Disgaea game has been ported a few years later and the late port always did worse than the original.

PSP (2009)-.12

Disgaea 3
