Im personally thinking the PS4 edges it out by a small margin.
I think 199$ (or less) at holidays + Spiderman + RDR2.... PS4 should edge it out.

"I think Scorpio has the potential to push Xbox One sales ahead of the PS4 in the US in 2017"

Mat Piscatella, The NPD Group

He will be wrong again ps4 will win 2018 easily.

Aso switch is not leading launch aligned, he actually admits he made a mistake, it's number 4.

"I'm asking the team to get that line fixed. Comparing platforms with 2 holidays to another platform with 1 holiday doesn't really make a ton of sense. For some reason my brain flubbed that line. Whoops."

It's funny reading his comment up top, it's ok to compare switch with a March launch and a fully stocked holiday, vs a holiday launch with very limited supply which saw very small holiday boost cause of supply issues, but it's no ok to compare to 2 holidays... dude seems very biased towards nintendo.

It may not be the fastest selling but second fastest selling losing out only to the Wii after just over 16 months on sale is a great spot to be in, in USA at least.

Actually an error, its the fourth best selling after 16 months.

Yea he also predicted 40% marketshare for switch in NPD for 2018. he's on the switch hype train real bad.

Hes probably not going to be that far off, a 35/35/30 split sounds pretty seasonable.

That is actually quite far off. A 40% marketshare means PS4+XBO sells 50% more than the Switch, a 35% marketshare means PS4+XBO sells 86% more than the Switch.

What im getting at is the guy never said 40% was definite or a given, he said its a possibility so if it only gets 35% this year than its not like he was making some rediculously impossible prediction like Quickrick will try to pretend if it doesnt reach 40%.

That was his prediction that all i said. aside from the that the guys is obviously nintedo  biased, he kept throwing  around launch aligned when it was favoring switch with a march launch and a fully stocked holiday, now 16 months later switch is in fourth place, he doesn't think comparisons are fair anymore because ps4/wii got 2 holidays, comparisons we're never fair int he first place.

I think switch will ship 15 million, how is that considered switch failing? people keep saying silly things at this point, switch can't fail.
