How do you feel about these two games for April? Interested? Played either of them? If so, what are your impressions and do you think they're worth a download?

zero interest. Though I need to stat CoDMW remaster so not a problem I suppose.

I am not sure what ppl are expecting Sony to do, announce PS5 games? How many big PS4 announcements could they possibly still have? I mean that doesn't change that the announcements didnt have big stuff, thats a valid critque. But if you ask me, SOP is just another layer to how Sony disseminates info:

youtube uploads, PS blog entries and now SoP. Even stuff like PSNow monthly game additions and PS+ titles are announced at around similar times every month. SoP will just another way they intend to do this. Though they will def need to do something else to the announcements to make them different from their standard announcements. Hopefully for the next SoP we see some positive changes to the format

No I wasn't expecting Sony to announce PS5 games. HOWEVER, this is your first "State Of Play". Should have kicked it off with some decent offerings. For the first showing, it was very underwhelming. I'm sure some people will enjoy the IronMan VR, but I felt they could have up the anty a bit more with some stellar indie games or something. Just my thoughts.

I mean, there's plenty of "poorly" reviewed games that are still great, and others that get amazing reviews that are bad, it's all based on opinion, right? :P Seems like the majority of people consider The Surge to be a vastly underrated game, and 73/100 isn't too bad... sure, it's not in the green, but from what I played of the demo last year, it was definitely worth a buy... I just never got around to doing so, and now I'm getting it for free, yay! :)

Metal Gear Solid 4 is probably in my top ten games from last gen, cutscenes are done really well, and I'm in the minority of people who actually enjoys cutscene heavy games, I loved it! Let's not mention some of the boss fights (No spoilers, but the final boss is just... yes!) and the soundtrack is top tier!

Added you to the list in OP. As for State of Play I sort of went in with low expectations anyway, especially knowing it was going to be VR focused... but I was pleasantly surprised by another trailer for Concrete Genie, lol, and No Man's Sky in VR is definitely gonna' be an experience! Now I just need to actually buy a VR headset, wish I got the mega bundle at Christmas :(

On another note, Trails of Cold Steel (PS4) dropped through my letterbox today... it has a manual AND reversible cover! Not sure when I'll get round to playing it, but I also have the second one preorderd too... and the third, lol.

Sure, but depends on what indie there are (most games were on the show) and when games release (all but 3 are confirmed for by summer).

I think it's the release dates for SoP games: like 4 months from the broadcast.

Do you play it with PS+ on PS3 or with PlayStation Now on PS4 ? :)

The End is legendary!
