I preordered that PS4 pro spider-man bundle. 😎

Nice. is it your first Pro, or are you buying for collector purposes?

First pro. Comes with a free game that I wanted. My old console is running a little slow and figured a pro would hold me over for a year or two into the next gen.

DmC: Devil May Cry requires you to beat the game on 5 difficulty settings. First is Human/DH/Nephilim, then Son of Sparda which is more difficult than nephilim due to remixed enemy spawns, Heaven and Hell where both Dante and enemies die in 1 hit which is easy, Dante Must Die which is amazingly difficult and fun for high skill players as enemies also have DT and huge health pools with the remixed enemy spawns of Son of Sparda and Hell and Hell where Dante dies in 1 hit and enemies have normal health which is the most difficult.

That takes lots of patience but the most difficult trophy is Jackpot where you have to beat all the missions on Nephilim with SSS scores so your style points have to be high, in most encounters you should get SSS and you have to do the optional encounters. Your timing has to be on point but as you've played through the game 5 times the missions should be memorised. You have to find all collectables, keys and doors which you should do. It took me 2 years to platinum the game and I've spent 90 hours on the base game. 5 hours on the DLC. 25 hours on the Definitive Edition. Its also the easiest DMC game to platinum to boot. Dark Souls games are insanely easy compared to this.

My proudest Platinum is Muramasa Rebirth for similar reasons.

In addition to needing to be the game six times for each ending, you have to do all six on Fury Mode where all enemies have their Hard stats and you're locked at 1HP.

And while they aren't required for the Platinum, 100%-ing the each DLC requires beating the game on Fury Mode (made more difficult by needing to learn drastically different fighting styles) and to beat all of the extra dungeons (doesn't have to be Fury Mode, but is also a major hassle as there are over twenty of them). I gave up after just beating each story since it had no hold over a Platinum Trophy... Though if they added another Platinum in an update that required you 100% all the DLC, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

That's very impressive. That was a greeeat game on the Vita. I was consistently blown away by both the artistry, and tech. And it really showcased the OLED screen. Fun to play too. In my youth, I may have gone for the plat, but fairly quickly moved on to the next game once I saw the level of dedication and skill required to obtain it.

I'll take your word on how hard those trophies are. I never looked at the trophies when I played a few of the DMCs.

That's a bit ridiculous to be honest. Most people can't even platinum a souls game.

So regarding my previous post about not knowing what game to play, out of boredom I decided to give Undertale a whirl, and honestly I rather enjoyed it, and really liked the music too, also one of the easiest platinum trophies ever, you don't even have to finish the game to get it! Although the whole playthrough only took me around four hours anyway... it's also another game crossed off my backlog, two in one week! :o

NOW I don't know what to play, although despite saying I want to take a break from shooters, I sort of want to play DOOM all of a sudden, so I've installed the updates and stuff just incase I do actually end up playing it.

I've decided to give Stardew Valley a shot.

Haven't regretted it.

News Update:

H1Z1: Battle Royale Launches on PS4 August 7 - PlayStation Blog

"New weapons and a new vehicle
We’re excited to bring two new weapons to H1Z1: the explosive RPG and deadly SOCOM semi-automatic sniper rifle. The RPG has particular utility against vehicles, while the SOCOM slots in between the Scout Rifle and M40 Sniper Rifle (now a one-shot kill to the head, even with a helmet) to add another tactical layer to long-range gunfights. These two new weapons fulfill specific combat roles our community has been asking for, and we can’t wait for players to get their hands on them.

Also shaking up gameplay is a new vehicle: the ARV. This powerful personnel carrier fits a whole fives squad, and includes a hatch for your best marksman to pop out the top!

Three reward lines, 30 rewards tiers
Battle Pass Season 1 will be available at launch with three reward lines (free, premium and PS Plus) and 30 rewards tiers. Players can unlock tiers by earning XP through gameplay or through in-game purchases. Battle Pass Season 1 premium line will be $5.49, and all PS Plus members will receive the PS Plus line for free!

Two new bundles
We’re also introducing two new bundles to the game: The Viper Starter bundle and Hardline Deluxe bundle. Players can get the kung-fu inspired Viper Starter bundle for $4.99 or Hardline Deluxe bundle for $34.99."

finished Last Guardian today. has its flaws as most know - camera can be a pain, Toriko doesn't always listen, sometimes the physics can be a bit annoying. But a really amazing game. Thought it looked incredible, the environments and Toriko itself were gorgeous. Liked the platforming and basic puzzling, liked the story. there are lots of games that are technically better, but it is a game I think I will always remember, mainly for just how unique it is. can't wait for Gen Design's next game, hope it's a PS5 game and Sony have signed it up

Now onto the Witcher 3 for the second time

Japanese Games News Update:

Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Session! coming west on November 2 - Gematsu

Earth Defense Force 5 coming west in 2018 - Gematsu

"Earth Defense Force 5 is coming west in 2018, D3 Publisher announced.

It should be noted that unlike recent western Earth Defense Force localizations, Earth Defense Force 5 appears to be self-published by D3 Publisher and not localization house XSEED Games.

Pre-orders are currently available on the U.S. PlayStation Store for a $59.99 standard and $89.99 Deluxe editions with a release date of December 31, which is the standard tentative release date for “within 2018.” It is unknown if there will be a physical release, given that it is being published by D3 Publisher themselves."

For some reason when I get a Platinum I feel empty and than I question what was the point. But I guess my proudest platinum was Demon's Souls, those stupid upgrading with each type of upgrade stone trophies were incredibly annoying.

Dark Souls games are easy Platinums if you can beat the game on NG+.

Demon's Souls is the trickiest of them all, as a lot of the trophies are tied to world tendency but its still relatively easy once you get it and the flow of the game.

God of War games have more difficult trophies than Souls games for me. Either I'm shit at GOW else I'm good at Souls games xD

Also fighting games and GT games all have more difficult trophies than Souls. Still don't have a platinum for any of the GT games.
