I thought maybe this would be a good place to ask. With franchises that I always associated with PlayStation like Tomb Raider, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro appearing on multiple platforms (and have been for years), it got me wondering what IPs Sony actually owns directly?

By that I mean the way you'd never see Mario, Link, Metroid and so forth on other platforms; what are some major PlayStation equivalents?

Good news everyone!

So a new story trailer for Spider-Man was shown off at SDCC, introducing yet another character to the growing roster in the game, Silver Sable! Also revealed was the third preorder costume which was designed specifically for the game, the Velocity Suit!

If you look closely from 1:07 - 1:11... it's our first look at the Classic suit!

Velocity Suit Trailer

So I've spent the last three hours or so playing Uncharted 4 (Finally, right?!) and I've got to say... I think these may be the best character models I've ever seen in a game so far! The animation work in the cutscenes is bloody insane! Also the rest of the game is rather pretty, can't forget that either too, lol :P

Uncharted 4 < 3 I like Nathan Drake and Elena very much :) Love the jungle-worlds and the gameplay. Have fun! = )

ps. General tip for all games: Watch the "credits at the end of the game" and see if there are any surprises @all

personally i would prefer two or three villains that all got lots of attention rather than six or seven that only came into the game a few times and were then dealt with, which i is assume will be the case (there will probably be a 'main' one though)

unless they do all get lots of attention, and this game is going to be 50+ hours

I voted for VRR because getting rid of the stuttering and screen tearing can make a huge difference. Second most important feature, imo, is 1440p support. I mean, what the hell, Sony? Why doesn't the Pro support 1440p when there are a handful of games that render at 1440p?

So there's a new poll up... the question this week; What hardware feature do you want to see most in a future update?

This time we're getting a little more technical with the question. I'll admit that when @Aura7541 suggested it, I wasn't even 100% sure what FreeSync was, so did a little reading up and got myself up to speed with t. Hopefully I'm not alone here and if you're not sure what these things are either, it's a great chance to read up and learn something new! ...or ask the "cool kids" here on the forums, maybe they'll give a TL;DR, lol.

PC gamers have had access to the technology (Or similar for years).
In simplified short form it allows the monitor to refresh the display at the same rate as the games framerate... Essentially eliminating screen tearing, frame pacing issues, stutters and more.

For me though, 1440P support is a must considering my displays are that resolution... The Xbox One X drew my wrath for not supporting it out of the gate... And I condemn Sony for not supporting it either.

Did you like the twist? hehehe.

I hope the wait for P6 won't be 8 years ugh.  Hopefully Atlus will still release P6 for PS4.

I did actually, it was a really cool twist, even I was sort of going "wot" because I know there's multiple endings and I thought I got the wrong one or something, but then yeah, the twist happened and I was like "Well fuck, that's clever as shit!"

The funny thing is a there's a select few that complain about you know who's voice actor. Why did they changed it and all that.
And that twist happen so there is the reason why. Find that cool and nice going by Atlus.

It's nice to have an update cannot wait for September.
I have mixed feeling with the PS4 Spiderman Edition. It's nice but too simple.

Backwards compatibility through software emulation, PS3 might be a stretch, but ps1/ps2 and psp would be easy.

Where's the "support for PS1/2/3 discs" option in the poll? Couldn't care less about those things you've listed.

We didn't want to add that option to the poll since it'd be so one sided... not to mention if we're being realistic here, I highly doubt Sony will be adding any backwards compatability to the PS4 at this point, as much as they know it's wanted. Then again they could surprise us... but meh.

Also, based on rumors, it’s likely that the PS5 will be BC with PS4 games, which include PS2 and PS3 games that are remastered for the PS4 (e.g. FFXII, .hack, Uncharted Collection, etc.)
