Which do you think was the best launch title Nintendo has had to date, and why?

Nintendo definitely has the plurality of great launch titles.

Until last year I would have said Super Mario 64. Now I’d say BotW. In my opinion it’s the best game ever made.

mario 64 had so much fun just walking around and controlling Mario never experienced anything like that before

Definitely Super Mario World, which is their best game so far.

Even though it isn't my favorite Mario title, I can't with any conscience not vote for Super Mario Bros. It's probably the most revolutionary video game of all time.

If we're talking about true launch titles, Super Mario Bros. came out in 1985 while the Famicom was released in 1983. My vote would have to go with Super Mario 64 though, that's one of my favourites.

Hmm, my favourite launch title ever? TimeSplitters isn't really a launch title as it wasn't available for the Japanese release; however if you count it, that'd be my choice. However if we're talking about games that launched with the original launch of a console, mine would be probably be Super Mario 64, but I also enjoyed Tekken Tag Tournament a lot.

Surprised Super Smash Bros. Melee isn't mentioned, considering what a huge deal that was. To this day, it's still considered the holy grail of the Gamecube's library.

Oh, it wasn't?  Strange.  I remember everyone playing it right after the Gamecube was released.

Well, it was released very close to its launch, but it wasn't out in time for the actual launch date itself.
