Because 2 girls can't kiss?

if it was a dude and girl, or a dude and a dude. I'll still think it's unnecessary.

so no one would be allowed to kiss? Im not really following. what is the reason you found it unnecessary.

so u are one of those people who thinks if someone has an issue with girls kissing are homophob. Cant it just be it was unnecessary and not in context to anything! Remember how Last of US e3 demo was. That was far more powerful than this cringe show of a kiss.

lol , it was a question. Which the dude couldn't even reply to.

Unnecessary is meaningless without context.

And the scene serves the context of duality. Is that not obvious?

I was not a fan of that E3 trailer. It was very clear that they were trying to push a PC agenda there. The whole thing felt forced, not just the fact that Ellie is a lesbian, but also the whole scene, it would have felt forced even if it was a guy she was kissing. Thankfully I already wasn't a fan of TLOU before this, I much prefer Uncharted. Hopefully they don't make Cassie Drake a forced lesbian if they do make an Uncharted trilogy for her like I want them to.

It's not a first for the series, the left behind DLC had riley and Ellie kiss. Also, you do know human beings kiss, right? it's not some sort of egregious gesture of love, they aren't fingering each other on stage. I guess if you see it as a form of Public display of affection and you're not comfortable with it, then I see your point.

I thought the Riley Ellie kiss was fine. Melded well with the story and was sweet. I thought the trailer was shot to maximize social agenda impact.

Edit: and for that matter - it worked, as I saw multiple sites reporting on "That" kiss.

Maybe it's just me but I do not think about these agendas in the slightest when I game. It's not even in my radar so I didn't see it as pushing some agenda. Besides, even if they are, what are they pushing? the normalization of gay relationships? it's already accepted or at least tolerated, aside from the religious groups pushing their OWN agenda on something it doesn't even affect them on a personal level.

I will give you that the kiss didn't mean much and it had more of a WOW factor than anything else. I hope it is more meaningful during the context of the story and their relationship.

We're on the same page here - I'm not especially bothered by it - but it was done specifically for a reason. It is what it is. I agree that hopefully context in the game makes it seem more worthwhile.

in the last of us part 2, I feel the kissing part was unnecessary. that's all what I think about it.

You think it is unnecessary because you arent a master class game developer.

What is the “Chloe and Nadine” thing? Because nowhere in the game did they ever hint that either woman is a lesbian. There’s nothing between them the entire game that remotely suggests this.

I think you missed the whole point of where he is coming from.. Like me he was or still is ND fan and as someone who aspires to work there someday, I have been following every news devs diary since like forever its not hard to notice that things are getting skewed towards an "Agenda" and looking at ND stance right now it feels ND flag on SJ commentary is flying a bit higher than their priority of making class leading games, and if you dig a little bit up more its not hard to find the person who is spear heading this is Neil Druckman. And I was one of those people who had been defending and praising Neil and Bruce take over of UC4 from Amy Hening, coz i loved neils writing so much, But man I was wrong. And I wont be surprised if we find out that Amy Hening left coz she was told to alter the story to suit this agenda or if she had some female character planned for the game.

Sure Introduce your SJW characters but don't flag them as a pole barring mascot for the community or for people who hardly care about narrative in video game or let alone play them, it comes off as an agenda. Now It feels as if ND is developing story to suit SJW characters to make a point, rather than story dictating the characters.

But when all said is done, I do feel if the gamer's really do see this stupid movement spoiling their fav franchise they will not buy it, like I have stopped after UC4.

I write an essay, and this is the reply I get. Most of this is stuff I literally addressed.

Oh well.

I came into this thread to laugh a bit as this whole notion of agenda, but left confused by that notion you wrote above. I must have missed something big, because never did I feel those two are together in that way.
