What i'm trying to say is americas which is mostly NA, and canada is beating europe and ROTW, yet for some odd reason vghartz has europe out selling NA alone, makes 0 sense.

Like i said in my last sentance, i agree with your overall point that its likely overtracked in EU/RotW.

Cool.

US sales slump after March for tax reasons, European sales don't as it is handled differently there. Europe's sales have been more or less stable throughout this year, while Switch dropped a good bit down after march in the US. Pretty sure that's where the difference comes from. We're going to see in the investors relations meeting later this month how true it is.

Since switch came out, it has always outshipped Europe/rotw combined in the Americas in every quarter. Now were suppose to believe all of a sudden europe alone, is doing better the north america numbers, all i could say is ok...

Don't forget Americas is all of America, North, Central and South. While the US are the biggest chunk by leaps and bounds, it's not just them contributing sales to that statistic.

Also, I don't know if you remarked it, but have another look at the shipments. The gap between Americas and others has been constantly shrinking over the last few quarters, I don't think Americas will boast a big lead over Others anymore in the next report.

Don't get me wrong though, I'm not saying that Europe ain't overtracked. I'm just saying that it's probably much less so than you're expecting it to be.

It's called inflation. PS2 $199 console would be $299 with inflation in today economy.

But why bring up inflation though? Does that not go for EVERYTHING that is sold? Prices change with times......still doesn't take away from what he said so why bring it up?

Heck that is like me bombing what EVERY single movie that has released in theaters since 1997 outside of Avatar that released in 2009 because NONE of them have surpassed Titanic in sales.....even though movie ticket prices now are like twice what they were back then. But do we do that? No......so why are you pretty much doing it here? Just curious.....

OT:

Man it looks like both the PS4 and the Switch might be SLIGHTLY over tracked....I don't think either is off by more than 300-400k......but still looking good none the less! No idea what the actual sales of the XB1 are....MS is being VERY tight lipped about that.

Actually they do it for movies http://www.boxofficemojo.com/alltime/adjusted.htm

Spoiler Titanic is only the 5th highest grossing movie.

based on all the data we have it should be much less. in the americas we know aroun 95% come from US, and canada combined, then nintendo own graph for europe, there is really no reason to assume euope ROTW is out selling , americas, let alone almost doubling its sales, but what ever.

Well at the last quarterly briefing, Nintendo did specifically mention the region they call "other" was seeing an increase in momentum.

Just out of curiosity, how much do you believe it is overtracked? Im thinking 300-400k.

Same here, though it's possible they passed it already, just not in time for E3 where they possibly wanted to announce it.

They've announced other milestones at random times before. It's probably just about to pass 80 million any day now. But maybe they want to wait for 85 or something

"random times" huuum, nope, never lol. It was always an important timeline, basically, they always annunce sales of every 10 million milestone, and sales by the end of the year, that's how this work.

they are not gonna wait for a random 85 million milestone in a random period of the year, if they have not annunced the 80 million milestone then PS4 simply hasn't reach that yet.

600-700K. again other is europe and rotw aside from americas, and so far from every number nintendo has giving us, north america is doing much better to put it lightly, yet vgchartz thinks   europe and rotw is kicking americas ass.

They probably have already passed the 80M mark by now - they just have no interest in announcing it anymore. Unless you’re saying that PS4 sales have dropped off a cliff compared to last year.
