Its actually proven with me and my friends with alcohol you play mario kart better, untill you hit a certain amount of drinks depending on the person from where it goes downhill

I don't really get drunk when playing single player games, but when playing party or multiplayer games with a bunch of friends it can actually make them a lot more fun since nobody is really taking it that seriously and just enjoying the silliness.

About the most I've done is having a few beers while playing Mario Kart with mates. Good fun, though I never got hammered enough that it impaired my ability to play.

I have always thought though that Rainbow Road after dropping LSD or shrooms would be an interesting experience.

Just Dance is a blast while drinking. Especially with a strip component... Too old and too married for that now though (at least until I get to mid-life crisis age and swinging, if that happens... robes, oils, and lotions)... The Wii era will always have a special place in my heart.

I personally just can't focus under the influence of anything. It's more psychological for me because when I play games I invest my focus into them, and I like to have sharp senses. It's the same reason why I can't enjoy listening to music or podcasts as I play games.

I played tons of Smash Bros and Mario Kart when drunk (they make excellent drinking games).

I've tried Breath of the Wild on weed and also coming down from shrooms. On the former it was very relaxing and on the latter, I can't begin to describe how cool that was :P

I drink or smoke pot often while gaming. Unless I am extremely fucked up, I don't think it significantly impacts my performance, or my enjoyment of the overall experience. If I get too messed up, that certainly affects my performance negatively. But, that just tells me its time for bed.

I don't do drugs but I've had loads of fun playing local mp in LittleBigPlanet 2/3 and Mario Kart with friends while drinking.
