I'm not really sure how Lucasfilm could pull of an Obi-Wan movie. He's pretty much just a hermit after Episode 3. If they attempt to make a movie out of that specific time period, I can only see it being incredibly trivial and meaningless like Solo or Rogue One.

why not stop making starwar movies at all and do something new and creative. the whole concept of it is beyond outdated at this point
it came at a time where people didn't know shit about space

its a rhetorical question. but I really do hate starwars and its following. its the most generic combination of things ever.

The film ideas aren't the problem, it's the execution. Kennedy seems to be burning house until she's kicked out, so hopefully it will come sooner or later.

BTW, I was more interested in the Solo movie then I was at Rouge One at one point, but then they infused Kennedy's ways and it became a giant shitshow. While I still would like to see an Obi and Boba film, if Kennedy is in charge of it, the idea of those films scares me.

Promote Dave Filoni and give me another kotor.

They're gonna suck the life out of the Star Wars franchise until nobody gives a fuck anymore kinda like Activision did with Guitar Hero.

Signature goes here!

I called this several weeks ago. Obi-Wan and Boba Fett films were gonna get frozen by Disney after Solo. Looks like Episode IX, Rian Johnson's standalone trilogy, and the Game Of Thrones showrunner's films are going to be the focus.

The hilarious part is the "boycotting fanboys" basically played themselves because they would've been likely the lead audience for both of these, lol. Now you don't get your fanboy dream Obi-Wan Ewan McGregor movie.

When Star Wars was conceived, humanity had already landed on the moon and were sending probes into the outer solar system and beyond, and our knowledge of relativity and classic mechanics were just about the same as today.  When Star Wars doesn't seem "realistic," it is because of a conscious artistic choice. It's a space opera, mixing science fiction with elements of fantasy and classic mythology. It was never meant to be an exercise of futurism. Nobody claimed it was.

Even science fiction movies who try to make it as realistic as possible to our modern understanding of physics fail to do so on (entirely justified) grounds of making for a minimaly exciting and visually compelling experience, such as Gravity or Interstellar. Now, do feel free to dislike whatever movie you want based on  its premisses, the characters, the plot etc. but do not do so on the basis of poor understanding. People are entitled to have opinions, as long as they fit with reality.

Also, your keyboard do have keys beside lowcase characters and the period. There's a reason we invented punctuation: it does make your text more readable and make you seem more intelligent to the eyes of others, even.

Merely putting movies on hold isn't going to fix anything, there are fundamental failures of leadership that need to be addressed.

They're just going to have JJ Abrams make a very safe, happy ending Episode IX, cut out the side-stories to keep the brand fresher.

Star Wars is not Marvel, it doesn't have the depth of characters, plot lines, or different genres it can work with, doing yearly Star Wars movies was always a stupid idea, just like yearly Jurassic Park movies would not work, by about the third year in a row of that you would be in big trouble.
