Funny this comes from, MR "Switch sales will fall of a cliff after Holiday season". :D

If you recall our bet is from April until August, April was down, May is slightly up, and Switch lineup is getting stronger from May and June.

This years Switch sales are currently very comparable to PS4 second year, and that with fact Switch still didnt had big game this year.

yea remember the bet was that switch would have to outsell ps4 2015 by 100k in those months. next month ps4 did 360k, and switch will probably do around 200k, if you think you have a chance of winning, all i can say is good luck lol. as for the falling of the cliff comment i never really meant it, and it was more to get reactions which wasn't a good idea i admit, but i clarified a million times it will be slightly down in US and europe.

No, you clearly don't remember, bet was that Switch will sell 100k+ units more in April-August months of this year compared to Switch sales of last year for same time period, not compared to PS4.

"As of March 31, Nintendo is reporting that 17.79 Nintendo Switches have been sold -- not shipped, but sold -- worldwide."

Again, That figure of 17.5M is total bullshit.  That was from their financial report, not some forum guestimating.  Here we are 3 months(roughly) ahead and...yeah.

No, in their quarterly reports its always shipped, always has been, always will be.

So now you admit to trolling?! Lololololol...lolol

Aw, now that's disappointing. Instead of keeping with the respectable flat "I was wrong" statement rick has now morphed it to that he never really meant it. That's too bad, rick. You were one of the few on here that I had seen actually accepted being wrong when a bold prediction tanks. Too bad.

also stolen from resetera

So far, in the first five months of 2018, here is where each console stands:

PS4 ~ 1.53 million
NSW ~ 1.20 million
XB1 ~ 1.13 million

Bet with Intrinsic:

The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.

The gold edition came with a $50 price cut. The blue has the same $299 price. So no, it will not be a huge upset. The only upset, as well as poor showing, will come if the XBO loses June. Or just ties.

I mean, $349 for a PS4 pro is a pretty enticing price I would think. But yeah I don't expect the special blue Days of Play edition PS4 slim to have all that much an impact.

It is enticing, but it will mostly appeal to those who were already planning on picking up a PS4, possibly spending the extra $50 to get a good power bump.

nope. XBO lost this May even with sales (and PS had none). How do expect the opposite this time?

If you don't understand that a $50 difference at $249 does not equal a $100 difference at $199, I can't help you. To me, it seems like you actually know the difference, you are just setting it up in case the PS4 still wins. "Well, that was to be expected." But if XBO wins, like it should, you can go around talking about some grand upset victory.

Probably worth mentioning, Switch has now sold over 6 million in the US.

I'm trying to paint the picture as it actually is. XBO hasn't won a month since October 2016.  Meanwhile, PS has won four in a row coming into June. Literally not a single person thinks XBO will win June (including me).  They are coming off GOW and Detroit back to back. By that regard, it is impossible to be an "upset" if MS loses.

Meanwhile , you want to make it seem like PS is some sort of underdog going against the big beast, which simply isn't true. It's the other way around infact.

It may have not won a NPD since then, but it has beat the PS4 since then.  In fact, it did it just a few months ago in Dec '17.  And it did it with a $199 SKU, while the PS4 was $249 at many retailers.  This is the same exact deal it has in June, except that Sony still has the PS4 at $299, a $100 advantage for MS. So no, the XBO losing is not guaranteed or the only outcome people are expecting.  And yes, if it does lose, that is a very poor showing.

And the XBO isn't that big of an underdog in the US.  Sure, PS4 is beating it, but not as soundly as it has in pretty much every other region.
