https://gematsu.com/2018/06/final-fantasy-vii-remake-development-going-well-moving-along-more-than-expected-says-tetsuya-nomura

Final Fantasy VII Remake director Tetsuya Nomura commented on the status of the game’s development in the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu.

Here are the tidbits:

  • “We’re trying to figure out when we will put out the next news release.”
  • “Production is going well.”
  • “The scenario will also delve into the members of Avalanche.”
  • “[Development] is moving along more than expected, so please wait for the next news release with peace of mind.”

Final Fantasy VII Remake is in development for PlayStation 4.

Update 1:04 a.m.: Here are two, more detailed quotes:

  • “The direction was pretty much decided upon before we changed to internal development, and production is going well.”
  • “While preserving the atmosphere of the original, the scenario will dig deeper into the characters, including members of Avalanche.”

Around the Network

Was just about to post this.

This should shut the worry warts/fear mongerers/Trolls up.

Something is better than nothing. I'll be patently waiting.

Sounds a lot like PR talk.

Fall 2099 here we come.

CPU: Ryzen 7950X
GPU: MSI 4090 SUPRIM X 24G
Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5
SSD: Kingston FURY Renegade 4TB
Gaming Console: PLAYSTATION 5

So it's gonna be out on PS6 instead of the holodeck?

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Nice to have some news about the game. Thanks.

Any game that Nomura literally takes less than a decade to finish is faster than expected at this point, so I'm not holding my breath.

I still half expect him to turn this into a musical like he wanted with FFXV.
