The trailer was pretty bad. The graphics are awful. Ground and rock textures are almost Gamecube level with no anti aliasing. The town seems very empty and dull. They also couldn't even hide framedrops in a trailer. They've a lot of work to do.

I'm not worried, the game was announced for spring 2019 so that's anywhere from 10-12 months out plenty of time to polish and give us a better trailer closer to release.
I personally thought the graphics were fine. They still have time to improve things anyway. Remember Mario 3D World from E3 2013 to its release?
The only stutters I saw were from the animated cut scenes, which I believe are made from the same studio who worked on Echoes.
The music is pretty good too.
I know people like their waifus a lot, but I hope that was just the initial drive for those people to get into Fire Emblem and not the new main mechanical identity of the series. The core gameplay is good enough for me to believe people that got into the series because of Awakening didnt do it just because pf waifus. That’s what happened to me at least

Yeah, this is what I thought. I'm really looking forward to it.
Indeed, it lacks the "mainstream appeal".
I, being selfish, love the decision. Game looks amazing and reminds me of Echoes.
