Forums - Website Topics - Can I be removed from the Prediction League?

Half the times that I visit this site, I see the little exclamation point by my profile. Excited by the idea that someone might have actually wanted to talk to me, I quickly proceed to investigate, only to discover that it's just another update on Prediction League rounds. Saddened, I then proceed to my room and sob bitterly for an hour. ...Okay that last part might have been an exaggeration, but it has become a minor source of annoyance for me. Enough at this point for me to want to write this post anyway.

I have no idea why the forum just presumes that I care about the Prediction League, being as I have never participated in it, can't even decipher how it works, and have less than no spare money to bet on anything with besides. However I got in though, I would prefer to be removed from whatever program is sending me these notifications. I really would like for that little exclamation point by my profile to always indicate that someone has contacted me in some way if that's possible. How would I go about making it so, as Captain Picard would say?

Just stop assuming people actually want to talk to you, and you can just ignore your notifications entirely!

How do you mean that you cant figure out how it works? Did you even look at it?

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Or you can go to your settings and turn them off.
Top right corner. Settings. There is a whole column of notifications you can turn on and off.
Three of them belong to the Prediction league.

Thank you Bandorr! This was a very helpful post. I followed your advice and saw what you were talking about.

For all 20 seconds that I could sustain interest, yes.

Jeez, sor-ry for offending people. I'm just here for the forums!

Dont worry if i was offended i would have reacted more crude! But imo its funny that on a gamesalesrelated website you managed 20 seconds tops for sales predictions

Well I don't have to now that I know you want to talk to me (as indicated by the above reply). I win!

I do get some aesthetic pleasure out of keeping up with the console horse-race and stuff like that, but my interest ends where my bank account begins. If there's one thing I've learned about myself in life, it's that I'm TERRIBLE at predicting things!

1. Nodoby ever wants to talk to us
2. I'll keep refusing to have to learn how and then turn off this feature I've never submitted to.

Ohh don't you know? If you think the prediction league notifications are annoying and want to get rid of them then you're in the wrong and illiterate.

People here will get way to sensitive if you dare criticize this annoying thing called the prediction league.
