I am a Sony fan, and I have to admit the M$ had the best show this year.

Around the Network

Microsoft had the most enjoyment overall and the best pacing.

MS stepped up their game quite a bit with a ton of new game announcements, and demonstrating that, at least publicly, they're serious about doing something about their limited first-party efforts. They really seemed like they want Xbox to continue as a strong brand. Overall, I'd say they're the winner by default.

Sony meanwhile didn't have any major new first-party titles, though they did have some very impressive extended gameplay videos for upcoming titles like The Last of Us Part 2 and Ghost of Tsushima. I think they're starting to wind down a bit in preparation for the PS5, and what we've seen is the last big blitz of major titles from SIE this generation. If that is the case, though, they are going to end the generation with a hell of a bang.

Nintendo... had Smash. They played it way too safe and held back too much, which makes the rest of the year seem quite empty, especially after a strong 2017. They need to knock it out of the park next year, and do more to keep excitement for the system high.

And as usual, most of the third parties were nothing to write home about. Bethesda probably had the best conference out of all of them.

Actually switch line up is pretty stacked the remainder of the year. Unless you're referring to first party stuff, then yeah that's where I'll agree

Well, exclusives in general. The second half of the year doesn't have much that isn't a multiplatform title or a re-release of an older title. There's Smash, Octopath Traveler, and the two Pokemon Let's Go games, and of those only Smash got announced at E3. Now, I imagine if you only play on Nintendo systems, you're not left wanting for games, but I generally use my Switch and PS4 for their exclusives, with my Xbox One X serving as the primary system I buy multiplatform titles for, so there's not much on the Switch's slate for the second half that I want to get. And when it comes to Nintendo systems, it's the exclusives, esp. first-party ones, that really push hardware. Every Nintendo system's best-selling games list is dominated by Nintendo-published titles.

Yeah last gen was third party on 360 and ps3 exclusives for me, this is a mix. Some third parties I've split between Switch and PS4. Just at this current time items with release dates on switch I have ordered is like 20 titles ill be buying. 22 or 23, depending on when Team Sonic,Vesperia and Dark Souls remastered gets  dates released and then PS4 I have 7 things ordered for this year. So both systems getting love for me lol.  Owning both platform and neither have too big of droughts for me personally.
