9/10, I had my expectations in check, especially with the feeling this years entire E3 has been. It may not been the biggest in quantity but there was nothing shown that looked bad to me, i.e. no amiibo festival etc. And they already mentioned this would be a big focus on the 2018 stuff, not Metroid Prime 4 or Bayonetta 3 etc which is much later on. Everything looked great to me and I'm excited for most of everything they showed. Nintendo still has it's directs all year round to look forward to.

Liked it more than last year's Spotlight.

Well the hyperbole from those who liked it and those who didn't should make this forum as toxic as it has ever been.

Imo, 7/10. It was pretty good. Similar issue to Sony. Relatively few announcements even though those announcements look good. Mostly info on what we know, but it all looks good. Fire Emblem looks phenomenal but got delayed, which sucks. Smash looks great. The new mech game was kickass. The Xenoblade DLC looks PHENOMENAL and way bigger than I thought coming way sooner as well.

I think they made a presentation mistake not giving the third party announcements more space. Yeah the leak spoiled most of them, but the direct would have been better.

This E3 is unusual. Sony and Nintendo I hold mostly even and MS won. But MS got that win by stacking their presentation with 2019 and later titles. Nintendo said 2018 focus and meant it, leaving 2019 focus for a later date. I think they could have included some more 2019 stuff to smooth it over though. Perhaps a sizzle reel with an announcement for when the 2019 presentation they teased will be so people aren't left hanging.

I think 2018 is perfectly fine, just not as strong as 17. Which isn't shocking to me.

I agree with all of it.

Nintendo fucked up. And that's about as constructive as I can get at this point.

Damn i have not watched yet. But after seeing you guys rated , probably i am gonna skip it.

Watch the separate trailers. The issue was not enough things compared to past E3. Compared to Sony this was better presentation but it was still nothing strong.

Okay, i Will watch it now

Why was FE delayed when they promised us to come un 2018? Liars! And it is coming in Spring. June 2019 most likely.
For Smash, I need to know if there's worth single player content.
Surprised Yoshi is delayed too.

Honestly, 20m is not exactly I expect them to sell.

People saying that this is the worst Nintendo E3 presentation didn't watch the 2008 or 2015 one. Drama queens. I give it 6/10. I did not expect an Animal Crossing, Metroid, Pokemon 2019 or Mother 3 that some people did (I don't understand why). The things that brings the grade down is the abscense of Retro and too much focus on smash.

I am a Nintendo fanatic.

Good point.  How do they intend to sell 20 million Switches on pretty much just Pokemon and Smash?  Maybe if Let's Go was the true Gen 8, but even then, the lineup just isn't there.

As somebody who doesn't care about smash, 4/10. Xenoblade dlc was the only thing exciting.

Had they shown a trailer, or at least a bigger teaser, of Prime 4 and Bayo 3 while cutting off half of the Smash content (mostly useless and better suited for Treehouse or another kind of presentation), it would have been a very good Direct. Sadly, they haven't and the end result felt too long and boring.

At least they showed some interesting games/ports that will keep Switch owners entertained.

6.0/10
